Rarely do you meet a person that lights up a room like Adin, sharing stories with close friends over the last few week has made me realise that Adin did not only touch my life, he shared an infectious happiness and joy with everyone he met. my brother Adin ‘adoz the man ‘dascalu. I will never forget the day I first met you my brother fresh out of PNG you came from TSS we met through a mutual friend at suncorp stadium and since we share similar interests in life , we ended up being best mates at Nudgee and the rest is history. Thanks for opening the doors when I was new to Australia and I realized I had met a legend over the tenure of our brotherly relationship. Although not lasting long, the memories will live and be told forever of a young Jewish man who once graced the rugby pitches of both TSS and Nudgee. Bro I will never forget your kind ways and such a wonderful Australian my brother a real man and a true legend .

Sharon you are a wonderful mother, and I cannot imagine the loss you are suffering and we hope you find peace. Jack and Julian please take care. Much love to you all.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Love, Rebecca, Jan, Isabella and Sienna ❤️

  8. Adin bro, I’ve been living overseas for over 9 years now. When I heard the news I sat here contemplating life and realizing how important real mates are in your life. My family has known you since we were all little ratbags running a muck in the good old southport days. I reminisced on all the years I’ve known you and although we haven’t spoken in years, just know you are always that kind of guy you can reach out to whenever like nothing had ever changed. RIP legend, and I see you on the other side one day. You will be missed but never forgotten bro.

Sending love to your family mate xx

  9. From wrestling in grade 4 to drinking tins watching the boys play footy. I’ll never forget the times we spent together brother. You will be missed but never forgotten. Love you brother.

  14. I’ll always remember you Adin, our childhood, school years and life throughout that whole time wouldn’t have been the same without you. You made everything that much more exciting, funny and daring. Everyone loved you brother, doesn’t matter whether your mates were years older or years younger you always were able to capture the room and entertain anyone at anytime. Life has a way of throwing us curveballs brother and we lost touch over the years but I’ll always remember the good times together as cheeky lads running around, playing Mario kart for days on end with the boys and just having fun no matter what we were up to! RIP brother onto bigger and better things for you, shine bright as always my bra ❤️.

  15. The times we shared running around the back streets of Southport to boarding school at Nudgee, I will cherish forever. Sending my thoughts and prayers to all his family.

  16. So glad I got to know Ados for the short time that I did he was always up for a laugh and having a good time. Rest easy mate

  17. My deepest condolences to Julian, Sharon and Jack. You Dascalu’s were a surrogate family to me in boarding school and Adin was like a little brother to us all in Delpratt. He was always full of life (and cheek) and was a very gifted sportsman. I hope you find peace and always remember him as a young vibrant man.

  18. Dearest Jack, Sharon and Julian,
My most heartfelt, deepest sympathy and condolences. A heartbreaking loss….
I have wonderful memories of your family and of young, funny cheeky Adin in Cairns. May you all find peace….

  19. Adin,
You will always hold a very special place in my heart. Thank you for being a loyal and loving friend. I will cherish every memory we have together. I miss you so and love you always. XXX

  20. Chicks,

I don’t know where to begin my brother… I can’t ever thank you enough for what you’ve done for me over the years. Every single moment we spent together, are memories I’ll cherish and always hold close to me. You lived life in the fast lane and always had a ball, there’s no question about that. Can’t wait to give you a big hug when I get there my brother, I’ll love you forever. I’ll continue to tell your Gazza, Chicken, and Nathan stories for the the rest of my life! I’ll love you forever… Always remember, “it wazzzznt me”. Peace man.

    Big Ados, forever young!

  21. Adin will be remembered as a lovely person who was always friendly, polite and respectful. He has now found the peace for which he was searching. Rest in that peace Adin.

  22. I have wonderful memories of Adin and the family friendship we all shared. Both my boys Jonathan and Eric (& later baby Katie) spent so much time at the Dascalu household playing with Adin and Julian, and vice versa at ours. Even though I haven’t been in touch for a long time, my heart breaks for all of you. You will always have a special place in my heart Adin. Love to Jack, Sharon and Julian.

  23. Adin was one of my first true friends in life, we had countless adventures in our childhood. I have so many memories of us competing and working together but my favourite is when he comforted me when I lost someone dear to me. I truly loved him like a brother, it breaks my heart that we strayed away from each other and never had the chance to reconnect. I’m sure we’ll find each other in the next life but until then I will always remember you.

  24. It was pleasure to have known you Adin we had a great friendship for over 15 years, we had a lot of amazing memories brother which I will treasure forever. I’m going miss a lot bro but I know you will be looking over all of us. Rest In Peace Ados ❤️

  25. We remember with love Adin and his special talents. His energy and enthusiasm for life , his special ability in sport, and his caring personality. He loved people creating excitement and adventure . A North Queenslander , a wild man , a rogue, a joker . He took on more than could handle but left a strong impression on all of us to see beyond the conformity of every day life His search for answers to find happiness and peace is our search but I can hear his contagious joy and laughter as he reminds us to mo
Up our tears and love each other.
