  1. An incredibly special and beautiful ceremony, so uniquely heartwarming … befitting of the precious soul that Andy was. My deep condolences to your beautiful family Andy. The love shone through and will be lingering in the gumtrees. Much love Lisa Thompson

  2. Dear Joe and Family,

We have just watched Andy’s funeral, it was a beautiful service.
When we heard the news our hearts broke for you. I got out the rug Andy made for Audrey and sat with it for the day. To think, a woman whom we had never met, gifted us such a beautiful item, which she had made with her precious and limited time gives us just a glimpse into the generous, kind and loving woman we have heard about today.

May you be reminded of her often, and may memories of her fill your heart with warmth.
You will be in our thoughts.

With lots of love, Lisa, Vlad & Audrey McLean

  3. Farewell beautiful Andy. Our hearts are breaking for Ruby, Anthony, Erin, Maggie & Joe. She is with you every step of the way along life’s journey. Love to you all,
Megan, Peter, Simon, Sam & Imogen Barnett. X

  4. Oh Andy, to sum up your impact on Fran and I is too profound. You always gave the greatest of advice and reminded me to ground my thoughts. Giving Fran some Latina-style family love when he needed it.

When I was off jet-setting you always checked in with Fran and he remembers your gardening working bees with great fondness. You were the hostess with the mostest and the wickedest mind. So many memories from Xmas with the Colombians, birthday taboo, bargain hunting, working whinges, gardening and animal chats. Each of these always paired with and element of comfort food or a cuppa. Your humour and care are the two things I will miss the most. Tay and I will continue to smile, as we flick through our memories, tell dirty stories and the chuckles will be numerous.
The love and appreciation we have for you will continue to grow in our approach to life’s hurdles and joys. Joe put it best today, your love will go on as long as those who love you go on and we love you so much. Our friend, confidant and hero; with insurmountable strength, still checking in on your people, even in your darkest times. Thank you for sharing the last five years with Fran and I. So… Many… Laughs… we love you and know you’re at peace now, caring for us through the lessons you have given us.

Joe, Ruby, Ant, Erin and Maggie thank you for making today so special for those of us afar and for sharing all your love and Andy with all of her people. We are sending you all of our love right now.

    1. Thanks so much Chris. It means a lot to me that you attended Andy’s farewell and a thousand thank yous for sharing my workoad over the last 2 years, allowing me to spend time with Andy through the difficulties of her illness. Cancer truly is an illness of love, it brought so much love into our life. xo

  10. A fitting tribute, lovely memories of our friend and work colleague Andy. We also greatly appreciate her recent concern and love shown to our family following the recent passing of our Peter. Our thoughts are with Joe, Ruby, Anthony, Erin and Maggie.
Much love from Sam and Carole xxx

  11. there are some gifted people that get deeply into your soul, no matter how long you stay with them. We spent with Andy just a few days during her trip in Italy with Joe, but her “special touch” was evident since the first instant. The love she spreaded is the love she received from her amazing children, from Joe and from all the people I’ve seen in this moving ceremony: she was lucky to have you as you were lucky to have her
    Mauro

  12. My most heartfelt condoloences to you all. From the many stories Ruby has told me, and from the few times I had the pleasure of meeting Andy myself, she truely was a beautiful lady. My love and thoughts are with you all during this difficult time

  16. Dear Andy

    You invited us all
    to ‘linger’ with you,
    to ‘be here’ on this
    special day.

    With the gum trees and
    the breeze moving the leaves
    and birds squawking
    and the soil opened up
    for you.

    With Joe
    your children
    your family
    your friends,
    gathered close around you.
    And us
    gathered close around you,
    from far away.

    And you here
    with us
    in a graceful community casket
    softly shrouded.

    Words were spoken
    of you.
    Special words.

    Heartfelt words.
    Words from those
    who know you
    so well
    love you
    so well
    Who you loved
    so well.

    Words reaching out
    to you
    reaching out
    to us all.

    And then
    softly shrouded
    they laid you
    gently to rest
    on a bed of green
    in amongst those trees.

    Andy
    yet again
    you have
    reached out
    and touched people
    in a very Andy way.

    Rest peacefully
    in the place
    you choose.

  17. Thank you for making me feel I was beside you all today @ Andys service. Wow, you chose well Andy with your final resting place. It was so peaceful to see the bush & hear Aussie birdsong. Joey, Ruby Anthony. Erin & Maggie… your words & music so so special to hear. Much love and hugs to you all. Rest in peace dear sister, love Mary

  18. Andy, what a perfect resting place you have!
We will ensure to come out and have a cuppa with you one day soon! I might even bring you a potato cake or two!

All our love and cuddles to you Joe, Ruby, Anthony, Erin and Maggie. Thankyou for sharing your mum/ partner with us all!

  27. Our Aussie Mom,

You opened up your home to us when we moved across the world and made the transition so incredibly easy and amazing!

You took us under your wing and made us feel like one of your own. What started as 3 months to get on our feet, turned into a year and a half of strict 7:30 Masterchef schedules, amazing sunday family dinners, and a few cracks at that damn chicken coop! You gave us a home away from home that we will never forget.

You along with Ruby, Will, Anthony, Erin, Chris, Maggie and Joe welcomed us into your family and we are truly so grateful and lucky.

You taught us that there is a use for everything, that a little bit of TLC can take anything a long way, to not judge someone before knowing their story and a few powerful words…

We fucking love you Andy !

  28. RIP dear Andy we have wonderful memories of the times we spent together, you will never be forgotten. Our love Karen and Steve Gamblen xx

Sending all my love. Axel x
