  1. My deepest sympathies go out to Bryan’s friends and family.
When we last met, he told me he didn’t think he was long for this world, I simply did not believe him because I could not imagine Bryan not being around! I will miss his warm personality, gardening advice and moral support. The world was all the better for Bryan being in it.

  2. Bryan, while we only met a few times a month over the last ten years at Melbpc computer club, your broad smile, vigorous hand shake and bright eyes will be long remembered. Now it appears that we may have met in the 50’s given that we were both pupils at St Josephs, Fitzroy at that time.

You will be missed at EAST and Beast groups of MelbPC.

To your wife and family my deepest condolences.

  3. Wishing Bryans family my condolences. Thinking of you all.
Bryan, I never got the chance to meet you but all I heard was how much of a loving, caring and spontaneous person you were. I think we would have made a great friendship with our whitty sense of humor. A lovely service and great memories were told of you Bryan. May you enjoy your “freedom”. xxx

  11. We will miss hearing Bryan tending to the garden- he’d always come around to say hello and shake us out of our zone when we were consumed by routine. He was always there to help and give a hand or advise with things around the house. We will miss the yummy short-bread he’d bring around when he baked. What an amazing person and from the service we realise what an amazing life. We will miss you Bryan.

Sending lots of love to Bev and the family…

He was a friendly face wherever I met him. I will always have a beautiful yellow Clivia that my mother bought from Bryan many years ago. It will now remind me of Bryan.

  18. Bryan , we were so lucky to know you and so grateful you were our neighbour for the 6 years we were at Annandale Crescent. Always there with garden advice, beer in hand at o’clock, always a yes if Loui needed a lift to school or pool, yes to any social event, handyman and advisor for all issues that arose.

  20. Bryan was a much loved brother a man who knew so much and with whom I shared a lot. I am missing his little notes, quirky emails, and phone calls, tricks and jokes. His leaving us leaves a big hole in my heart.

  21. Much love to my friend, Bev. She and I went through Primary School together and we have kept in touch over all the years. I will miss Bryan on my visits to their home and also at the Hawksburn State/Primary School Reunions. My sincere condolences to Bev and her family. xxx

  22. We are all going to miss you Pates, your Kwikform Family have fond and amusing memories of this rascal. He picked his people and played many tricks which in themselves were innocent and lots of laughs for the observers. The good thing about Pates he was willing to take as good as he gave, and he was always there for you. One of the Kwikform family said to me; “Pates will certainly cause havoc in Heaven”. Treat him gently God he really does’nt mean it.

  23. Bryan Was a Good Friend and was the leader at Yarra Ranges Interest Group while I was his Deputy. I got to know him quite well over the years until he resigned, I could not see myself running the show as good as he did, So I resigned as well. He was a very inspiring gentleman.
