  1. Dear Danasiri Uncle,
I am Roshan, Catherine’s son who came to Melb in 1992 to do Master Mariner’s exam. You sent your daughter to collect us from Tallamarine. Gave us accommodation for first few days until we settled down. Next you visited me to see how I was. Next I came back to say ‘thank you’ when I completed my exams. I shall cherish your warm words. The support that you gave me. The smile of yours that is still my memory. May you rest in peace.

  2. Please accept our deepest sympathies to your three daughters and their families and extended families. May he attain supreme bliss of nibbana. Senake Nimalka and Karunanayaka family.

  3. They say that when a great man passes, it rains and on Saturday the heavens poured out here in Melbourne for you uncle Danasiri, just as you poured out your love into this world. Yes it is the end of an era, however you have created many new ones. Reminiscing of wonderful times growing up in your family home on Toorak road during the 1980’s, particularly on Sunday evenings with many friends, your daughters and Reamice, are memories never to be forgotten. Thank you for these moments in time. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Much love always, with sympathies,
    Johann
