  13. Dear Suzanne and family,
That was a wonderful service and it described Dennis or Ridge as I called him to a tee. We have great memories of him at bowls, I think he even had magpies on his bowls ! We could always rely on him for a joke or two. Often some that anyone else would never get away with except him ! You will be sadly missed by a lot of people. Hope you get lots of resting touchers in heaven. RIP Dennis.

  14. Dear Suzanne and family,
Beautiful service, Jon and I are so glad we could be included even if from a distance. It was lovely seeing some of the photos and memories of Dennis and you with my grandma Beryl and Aunty Alma, also my mum. We were so appreciative when you and Dennis came to Noosa to support us when my mum passed. I will forever remember Dennis with his blue eyes and sweet smile, what a lovely man he was. Sending you all much love. The Stanilands ( Gabby and Jon)

  15. I have some very fond memories of Dennis – first met him at Natwest in 1984 and worked with him for two years. During that time we played some indoor cricket together and when to numerous football matches – mainly in the VFL/AFL members area at the MCG. I remember going with him to the 1990 Grand Final between his beloved Pies and Essendon – when the final siren went and Collingwood had won – Dennis had a tear in his eye and said “at least I have seen one”. Of course he went onto seeing another one in 2010! I spoke to Dennis over the phone just a few years ago and promised to catch up with him and Suzanne but unfortunately didn’t – I feel so sad I didn’t see him recently.
Dennis was a truly fabulous person – always joking – always happy – he will be sorely missed by all
