  1. A wonderful celebration of Don’s life and a fitting farewell to a lovely man. You all did him proud and no doubt he was smiling down on you and will be forever close by. We both have cherished memories of our visits to 26 Avon Street. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

  2. This was such a lovely service for Uncle Don – a very fitting tribute to a very special man. There was such joy and fun and happiness to be seen in the photos that tells of the immense loss of his passing so eloquently portrayed by Rita, Janet, Mark and Paul.

  3. A great neighbour in Ireland and friend in Melbourne. The last remaining member of Liscullane 1947 Clare Junior B Hurling Champions. Deepest sympathy to the Murphy family. Michael Boland and family.

  4. The funeral service for Uncle Don, my Godfather, was very special, a fitting tribute to a live remarkably lived and a much loved individual. I particularly liked the combined eulogy delivered by Janet, Rita, Paul and Kevin at the beginning and the reflections of life slideshow at the end of the ceremony which included photos of Don with his brothers and sisters during his visits home to Ireland. These visits , which spanned 40 years, brought much joy to his Irish family and will remain in our memories forever.

It was great to be able to view the service and to feel part of his final journey.

  8. Thank you to Fr. Clem for a lovely ceremony. Wonderful tributes to Don at beginning of mass and the special one at end, in remembering his hurling days in Tulla, Co. Clare. Ireland.
