  1. It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I write this to acknowledge the death of not only one of the strong pillars of the our family but of the community, My dearest sister Moon.
Since most of you now are aware that she was the first Indian doctor in Fiji and shattered the class ceiling enabling women to go forward and fulfil their dreams.
My father Mr H Suhkdeo Sinha and Mata Mrs Raj Kumar Sinha were elated when their daughter became Dr.Indumati Sinha!
It was a sense of pride in the Indian Community.
My brother Mr Abhai Sinha was the first Indian pharmacist who owned his own business .He took it as his responsibility to educate and support the family.
It was with Indu’s support when she was single and Shanti Bhaini who helped to educate the family.
It was the dedication and support of our elder siblings that we are were we are and let us never forget.
We admire Edwin who carried out his responsibility as a son. We saw that our daughter in law Lise was his strength.
Winnie and family, Praveena and family and Enid showed grace under pressure and did it in an absolutely beautiful and dignified manner.
All the children acknowledge all friends and family alike. Well done, your mother would have been very proud you.
    We definitely were.
I would like to thank all of you who were present. It was good to meet some of you and apologise for not being able to meet all of you.
It was difficult for David but he was relieved when Roshni told him the children have done a remarkable job.
It is never easy to say goodbye.
I am most greatful to Roshni for taking me to say goodbye to Moon.

My son Naman was my stength during that painful week.
My son Shami, daughter Seemaa and Reggie spent hours talking and texting, giving me the strengh to endure this pain .
Although we all know this day will come for all of us but we are never prepared for it.
As you go on your journey Moon we will be here for your family.
I will miss you. May your soul rest in peace.
    Goodbye Bahini and Phua

I was a close friend of your family ever since David and went to High school with me, in Suva. She was gracious and very hospitable. I wish to extend to the entire family, our deepest condolences at your sad loss.

  4. May your beautiful soul rest in peace bhaini. May God give the Prasad family & all her loved ones the strength during this difficult times. It was a very beautifully organised funeral service that I was privileged to be part of today. Gives me a great pleasure to learn that bhaini you were the ONLY & FIRST female to be accepted in Fiji School of Medicine. I salute you for the great inspiration you have been for all the women. Not only that, you also gave us all a v strong take home message of the importance of education especially for the females. You have touched many hearts, healed them & will be missed by each one of them. You will be missed by everybody as you leave this world to be in a better place.
God bless your beautiful, dedicated & loving soul.

  5. We were all fortunate to have you as an older sister who was always ever present at all times.
From my view point, everything and everyone revolved around you and your activities and presence; well after you had your own family. In fact, your own husband and children became part of our family as none of the children and Master were far from the activities in the home in Namosau or the quarters in the school compound. Very blessed to have you in our lives and family.

    1. Thank you Pratap Mama, it would have been lovely to see you, however I know you are not well. Look after yourself.
Mum will be missed, but she lives on in our memories.

      Love Wini.
