Jill and I are in America welcoming a grandson and with distance and time zones have just watched Ted’s service. We have been together in spirit with all those joining Marg and Kim and Uncle Ted’s extended family and network of friends in remembering Ted’s remarkable life. Thank you Marg and Kim and all the grandchildren for your beautiful memories of a kind and gentle man. Ted was a great friend and cousin for my mother Rachel and a fixture of my entire life; inviting me – as I’m sure he did many, to lunch at the University lounge, when I was a struggling economics student. My notice in Friday’s Age, acknowledges with brother John, Ted’s long life and connection through five generations of my family. Together with Jill, and our three children we carry indelible memories of Ted’s indomitable spirit and love for his fellow humans. His wry smile and quick mind remain fixtures for me. Ted will I am sure Rest In Peace after a life well lived. warmest wishes Doug & Jill Humann
Woke at 4am this morning (France time) to attend uncle Ted’s funeral on-line out of a profound respect for him, and a desire for solidarity with the rest of my Australian relatives at this time. Blood, they say, is thicker than water. I would truly love to know you all better, but unfortunately you are all so very far away!
Lovely service; very well attended and very moving too. Happy that my late uncle had so many people who loved and admired him.
Once again my sympathy for your loss to my cousins Kim & Marg and to Ted’s 6 grandchildren, whom I have not had the privilege of meeting, despite the fact that we are indeed of the same stock.
Rest in peace unlce Ted
What a fitting tribute to an amazing man. Marg and Kim did a great job of giving us a glimpse into their earlier lives. With loving blessings to all the family.
Dear Kim and family,
I would have liked to have attended today’s celebration of Ted’s life. I was able to watch it online while driving to 1770/Agnes Waters, QLD. What a wonderful life lived to it’s fullest. Ted was truly a man of faith, hope and love. I remember when I first met Ted at NRUC over 25 years ago when he came up to me and introduced himself and welcomed me to NRUC. He will be missed very much by our church.
The service was a beautiful tribute to a remarkable man. Thinking of you all at this time.
Dear Family of Ted,
What a privilege to attend Ted’s Funeral. His goodbye to this world and the beginning another adventure with his almighty God. Ted was an example of a good man, he was wise, intelligent and thoughtful. I will hold dear the small amount of time we spent with him. It was obvious we / I were in great company, a man of God’s kindness, faith and love. I will treasure his friendship for ever.
God Bless
Vicky and David Silcock

What an amazing life Ted lived…I wasn’t aware of even a half of it. I hope, amidst the sadness of Ted’s passing, that you are able to feel the love of God and continually recall and appreciate the happy memories he has left you with.

A wonderful life. An inspiration really. Thank you Lord for such a beautiful witness!
Sorry I couldn’t be there in person but have enjoyed the lovely service and hearing about the wonderful life Ted had. I will always remember him being so polite, grateful and kind. I’m happy I was able to help him a little bit to communicate in his last few years. What a legacy he has left.. Be at peace dear Ted. You’ll be missed. X
I have always been inspired by Ted’s love of God. I fondly remember his excitement every time we spoke that I work at the same company that he had. We shared a common enjoyment of similar work. I pray for peace and comfort from our loving God for all family and friends of Ted.
Blessings, Hugh
