So wonderful to share the service for Geoff with all family and friends. A truly inspirational gentleman who we were blessed to meet during a trip to Australia while staying with John. We will never forget the stories and fun spent with him. Forever in our hearts and memories. Bless you dearest Geoff.

I had the pleasure of Geoff Baily’s company for more than 70 years. We went to Cubs and Scouts together and also to Murrumbeena State School. We hung out with Gordon Thompson and Ken Patterson we all did paper rounds together. On weekends we used to ride our bikes 15 miles to Heany Park Lake, swim all day and ride home.
Geoff ran two successful businesses “Baileys Barn”and later a furniture business in Braeside.
He always made a dollar.
Geoff and Josephine ended up buying a beautiful home in Loch and spent many long happy years there together.
Geoff came on many shooting trips and on one occasion we decided to do a 3 day river trip down the Lachlan River starting at Weelabah Bridge to Booligal (150 River miles)
Whilst travelling down the Lachlan in our tinny we saw a few feral pigs in a lagoon next to river. We quietly waded through waist high water to get a good shot. Geoff appeared from behind a tree and we heard “Bang Bang” two gun shots and he was nearly running on top of the water being chased by a wild boar with huge tusks. We have never seen anyone run so fast through water. He cautiously ventured back and finished the pig off. We camped on side of river under the stars and ate pig & ducks for dinner.
Back in the 70s Geoff had his 5 minutes of fame when he appeared on one of the famous and popular VB commercials pushing a wheelburrow up a plank.
My condolences to Josephine, Danielle, Ben Ned & family.
See you in the next life Mate
and we will have A big cold beer the best cold beer Victoria Bitter for our well earned first.
Farewell my friend
