  1. Ray chivers and myself can’t believe George has gone. We have only just found out about his passing. Ray has heaps of fond memories with George and is deeply saddened. He loved working in the saw mill going on fishing trips with him and site seeing. So many memories have been had with years of friendship.

  2. Thanks Dad for the loving memories that you created for us from our early childhood and into our adult years. Your support and encouragement through the years, helped us each in achieving our goals in life. We could see the pride and joy that you had in your family in your smiles and the way you spoke, as was shown in the photo tribute.
You were always there with a ready and willing hand to help whoever and whenever it was needed.
When I look at a fine piece of native wood carving, quartz crystal and taste a creamy smooth ice-cream, you will be in my thoughts and heart.
Rest well Dad till we meet again with your smile and energy restored.
    Love you Dad.

  3. I am sorry I was not able to join you for the service today. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. You crafted together a wonderful tribute to George which really showed his life and interests. He was a wonderful family man who will be sadly missed by all in the community

  4. What a loving send off.
My thoughts are with George’s family
I am truely blessed to be able to conduct a graveside committal in Colac

  5. Condolences to all families on the loss of George. Our late mother, “Auntie Viola” had many happy memories of Start/Hodder families gatherings.
    Love from Kerryn & Eddie

  6. Dad thanks for all the loving memories you leave us with. Your legacy of helping others will live on through us.
All those trips to Eucumbene with the fishing, cards and Zilch will be part of my treasured memories for ever.
I know it is only goodbye for now.
There is a lot of laughter in the memories.
