Gino we were so fortunate to have known you. We loved your company, your sense of humor and cherished your friendship. It wasn’t for long enough and we miss you.
Deepest sympathy to Franca, the girls and family. Our thoughts are with you.
Harry and Diane Karakiklas
Thank you Diane and Harry. Gino loved both of you. I knew when Harry had sent him a message as he would giggle in the background.
i knew Gino for years and the Savio’s are a great family. Gino would always have time for you and it was a pleasure knowing him. i remember when he first got his licence, he thought he was Peter Brock and me as a passenger would say a prayer with my eyes shut. I remember having barbecue tea at Micks and both Gino and Franca were there and yes he was very proud of his girls achievements.
Knowing Gino for 20 years, was an interesting man. Always proud of his family (children) and involved in his friends’ dealings. Very deep, caring and thoughtful yet funny man.
God bless his soul. He’ll be missed.
I will always remember the good times over the years we have experienced as young men discovering music, women, cars and the adventures in life we shared. A true mate, a loyal friend and wonderful caring family man. Your beautiful girls reflect your strong, loving and guiding presence in their lives. They would have been diminished without you. Thank you for your calm presence and your wild excitement at various times. Always a straightforward man, strong work values, simple tastes and very lucky in love. There were no regrets; a life well lived. Your memory and legacy will travel down the times in our memories forever.
Wonderful speeches today testify to the love you found from your family and the love you gave to them. Knowing you was a gift that you gave me and many others. You built some of Melbourne and you also built lifelong friendships and admiration. You WILL be remembered.
A best mate for almost 50 yrs. Godfather to my son. Ciao mate.
Thank you Carolyn, Wayne, Josephine, Romy and Charlie. Our get togethers at Giuliano and Sharon won’t be the same, 2 special people won’t be there. Thank you for your lovely words. Xxx

The pictures brought back many memories of our early years at Dandenong Tech School. Then onto our teen and early adult years.
Playing records at your parents house in Grace Avenue.
Gino,s love of Chicago……the brown falcon wagon always to the max.
We never cross paths up in the red dirt country latter in life…..during my FIFO years…heard he worked up the Pilbara for a while. Definitely ” sorts the men out from the boys”.
I am very humble in knowing and sharing his life in those early years.
He was a distinguished and hard working man.
A loving and caring family man.
Charlie

What a great cousin you have been.
It’s not until now that you have gone that I sit down and think about what a great guy you have been.
I have lots of good memories of growing up with you and enjoying those teenage years together. It was so much fun enjoying listening to your music, then watching you with your cars, then enjoying going out with friends at the pub.
It was so good seeing you so happy when you met Franca.
You both raised two lovely girls who were the love of your life.
You have left us with a legacy of a hard working man with a dedication to family and friends. Your daughters will carry this forward in your name.
Thanks for always taking time to chat with me and for caring for whatever I was up to.
See you in heaven one day and we will listen to our favourite music together again.
