  1. Parents Victoria (PV) was honored to be included in the order of proceedings to pay our respects to Heather for her extensive contribution to our organisation over many years. Heather was certainly a quiet achiever but an instrumental one and her passion for and commitment to state education should be applauded. It was wonderful to hear about Heather’s early, school, work and family life experiences and most importantly the beautiful family and friends that surrounded her. PV is aware a number of former Victorian Federation executive members that have and will watch the service via the live stream link – we thank the family for this opportunity.

  2. We also knew Heather via Parents Victoria. She was a lovely, lovely lady and her contribution to PV was invaluable. Her work was the basis for the History of PV that Megan edited and we had a couple of visits with her at home during the research. She spoke of hoping to be able to attend the centenary of Parents Victoria/VFSSPC in 2025. Be sure that she and of course Joan, will be remembered with fondness when we celebrate this wonderful achievement.

  3. Dear Janet and Fran,
I am so sorry that I was unable to come along today to hear your many fond memories of your truly remarkable Mum. I am also sorry that I could not, in this time of immense loss, support you by attending in person today. Please accept my deepest, heartfelt condolences.

  4. Thankyou for providing the live stream. I was part of the Vic. Fed. DDMC and knew Heather through that. She was a great gift to the education provision then and now. I was so pleased that you included Gail’s tribute to her – Condolences to all – Marj Smyth

  5. I always enjoyed Heathers company, her sage advise and sense of history. She was a truly lovely person.
