  1. Dear Mary,

Thank you for your loving words and thoughts, the whole family appreciates your kindness and thank you contacting us.

I am not sure if you are aware, but Auntie Bet also passed away on 13 March. She had been unwell since early January 2020 and had moved into an Aged Care Facility on 7 February. We had arranged to have a funeral Mass for her on Friday 3 April, but of course the new restrictions of 10 mourners attending funerals come into effect the Sunday before. She has since been cremated and is temporarily interned into the Wall of Rememberance at Springvale Cemetery. We will have a memorial service and celebration of her life in March 2021.

  4. What a beautiful farewell you gave your Mum – my Auntie Ilma. My heart goes out to you all – my cousins. Thank you for being able to share her farewell with us. Julie and Auntie Gwenda even though you weren’t there in person, you were both there in heart and soul, and your Mum and sister knows that.
Take care of yourselves and each other in this different way of life we have to live at the moment, in one of the hardest time of your lives – losing your Mum.
We love you all – take care.

    1. Dear Carmel and Roy,
Thank you for your loving thoughts and kind words. It is a difficult time, but we all know Mum is where she wants to be…… with her adoring husband. I think the worse part was not ebing able to be with her as she passed away because Wendy and I were in self isolation and Julie was in Queensland with borders shut. The staff at Lynbrook Park told us Mum looked so peaceful and beautiful when she passed. This is lovely for us to hear.
Love Lynn and the Gibson Family xxxx

  6. It was wonderful to be able to see this beautiful Service for Ilma. So much love and care was obvious throughout. Ilma and Keith were an important part of Princetown Road life for so many years. Our family was delighted to have known them as neighbours. May God bless their family and loved ones at this time.

    1. Dear Mary and Keith, Thank you for your lovely thoughts of our precious Mum and Dad. Yes they both loved Princetown Road, and the bonds which were forged with their neighbours (who were really their friends). We are so glad to hear you were able to participate in the celebration of Mum’s life. It means a lot to us all.

Auntie Bet passing away when we were in India, cutting our trip short because of COVID-19, being in self-isolation for 14 days and not being able to physically be with mum……. You were so supportive throughout this whole sad and unfortunate time – thankyou, thankyou, thankyou xxxxx
