We came to know and appreciate Jean during our tme with Wycliffe in Nigeria. Looking back to those days, Jean’s positivity, enthusiasm and concern for other people were outstanding. Typically, Jean saw to it that we have kept in touch in the years since then. We give thanks for Jean’s faithfulness to her calling, her friends and the Saviour she loved.
Thanks for for sharing this service with us! God and Jean were honored. We worked with Jean in Nigeria. Jean is now Home with her Savior, Jesus Christ, unseen by us but now complete in Christ and able to “see” us and encourage us as part of the heavenly witnesses (Hebrews 12:1-3) on our journey here below.
Christ’s Other Side
“Death can hide but not divide;
Thou art but on Christ’s other side.
Thou art with Christ, and Christ with me;
In Christ united still are we.”
Vance Havner
We are thankful for Jean and a life well lived. May you each know God’s comfort, grace, peace and hope at this time.

It was a privilege to take part in saying goodbye to Jean, even if at a distance. I was Jean’s partner and part of the large group of very close friends she built up during her West Africa days. We miss her so much, but praise God for her life and the opportunity to be part of it.
Thank you for sharing this with us! Her life and memorial honored the Lord. We served with Jean with Wycliffe in Zaria and Jos, Nigeria. Jean is now Home with her Savior and ours. The poem Christ’s Other Side meant a lot to us when our son Steve died in 2010.

Lovely to be part of this service for Jean. I too was a ‘missionary accountant’ (with Wycliffe), I met Jean when we were both volunteering in the Wycliffe finance office, To God be the Glory.
