Kay was a warm and loving woman, and it was my good fortune to spend a few days with her and the family when I visited Australia several decades ago. Kay and Noel were incredibly generous and willing to share. When my son Jon went to Australia for his junior year abroad, Kay and Noel took him into their home – even though he had a room at the university – and made him a part of their family. It was a wonderful time for him, and had a lasting influence on his life. Everyone who knew Kay and Noel loved them, and I looked forward to exchanging yearly notes at Christmas. My only regret here is that there wasn’t an opportunity to see both of them again. Gail A. Kitchin
A fitting tribute to a loving mother, wife and friend to many. She was always so welcoming of our family and became a special friend to our mother. She could always light up a room. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.
Warm regards, Rick and Yvonne (Janette’s sister)
We were so pleased to be able to join the service online while we could not be there in person.
The tributes to Kay were lovely and a true celebration of her life. Well done to all who spoke. Such a hard thing to do. Remember Kay, speak of her often and support each other.
Warmest regards, Rod and Tineke (Janette’s sister)

Aunty Kay
You have been part of my life for 52 years. The most beautiful person. Max and I will always have you in our hearts. We Love you.
A beautiful service for an amazing woman. All our love, Roger, Gabby, Grace, Ryan and Tate.
Sending all our love and hugs to the Bennett family at the passing of vivacious, wonderful, caring Kay. We’ve so enjoyed hearing all the stories, generously shared. As Geelong friends, we’ll forever love the image of the Bennett children crammed into the car heading for Torquay while Noel enjoyed a beer with his mates!
Sending all our love to the Bennett family at the loss of wonderful, caring, vivacious Kay. What an amazing woman she was – and how enduring these stories will be. We so love the story of Kay heading to Torquay with her children and the menagerie on hot days while Noel enjoyed a beer at the bar! We’re also more aware than ever that Matthew found in Janette so many of Kay’s wonderful qualities. Thankyou for a beautiful service!
I am sad that I cant be there to see off my dear aunty Kay but I am there in spirit with you watching the live stream from Norway.
Such an outgoing lively character Kay has always been. So much like mum too! So many good times with mum and dad, Kay, Noel and the cousins at Malvern and Torquay. Aunty Kays Yorkshire pudding was to die for! I loved chatting and laughing with her. I miss those times and feel a great loss, the last of my aunties.
