We were truly blessed the day that Leanne and Nichole – as The Green Fairies – came into our lives. Doug and I looked forward to their annual weeding of the dreaded oxalis, which seemed to want to take over only in our garden each year. We shared such lovely times with both Leanne and Nichole and delighted that Lee was able to continue after, sadly, Nichole was no longer able to come. Leanne would often bring an off-sider to assist and late last year, twice brought along her gated trailer to remove excesses as we had decided to re-work an old garden. We have a largely native garden and now, one of our prized bushes is a beautiful grevillea which was gifted by Lea & Nix at our first Christmas with them. We also had much delight in recommending The Green Fairies to our family and friends. We love you Lee and you will be very much missed as we tend to our weeds on our own this year.
Lee’s smiling face and warm nature will be most fondly remembered by us both and we send our heartfelt condolences to Rhys & to her family, near and far, and to her dearest friends, especially Nic.
May the end of isolation soon allow you all to come together to truly celebrate the wonderful person that is Leanne Shield. She will never be forgotten <3
