  15. A Beautiful Tribute to Louis, a lovely service and a slideshow that brought tears to our eyes. Lovely touch with everyone around Louis for the final prayer and sharing with everyone who couldn’t go, it made you feel like you were there in St. Peters Church. Having known Louis for 35 years through Paul and catching up at the Races with Frank Brennan the photos reminded us of the warm smile he always displayed. Sadly missed but always in our hearts….

  19. It was a wonderful tribute to a great man, Louie who was truly loved by all of those who knew him.

I loved hearing about his younger years, especially his time as a lifesaver at Coogee and his unique and stylish courtship of Kate.

Louie always had a smile on his face, a cheeky grin, and also reminded me of my own father in many ways.

Love and condolences to all of the family at this time – there is so much going on at the moment which could weaken us all, but I know that you all have such great resolve, strength and faith that will guide you through it and the love and comfort of your wonderful family.

Stay well and we look forward to the time when we can all meet up and share our memories of a wonderful man.

    Love Joanne

  31. When we would go to watch the Saints play as a child I preferred to watch Louis than to watch the game. He would make me laugh so much and I’d never seen such passion . The funniest moment was when his falsies fell out while he was yelling and bounced a few rows down . Luckily they arrived back in one piece.
He really was a Star .

    1. The other funny memory was of Lou yelling out “Barker you’re a fairy” and the whole social club turning around to see who’d said it.

  32. Sad and happy day for the family losing lou lou to this world but celebrating one great happy loving person going to another life Rest In Peace Uncle lou xx love all the Monahan family we will miss you you hopefully we will meet again on the other side

  33. Thinking of you all, Paul, Mrs Joseph & family. I remember all the family’s kindness and even Lou’s irreverent humour from long ago. You spoke so well of your father Paul. A wonderful life lived well. A good man and, as they say, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. God bless you all. Love Rick.

  34. Deeply moved by the great man Louis. I love Louis (and Kate) and have so many memories of what a beautiful, warm and generous person he is. It’s hard to find the words to give it justice. Giving love, living in the moment, laughter, was all natural to him. I feel like part of the Joseph family and that’s down to Louis (& Kate) and the love that oozes out of them. I was lucky enough to experience an array of experiences through the Joseph family – Gold Coast holidays, Coogee holidays, or hanging out at the Joseph house …. it was like I had two families and a 2nd set of parents. I can’t think of a time when Louis didn’t have a smile on his face (excluding the 1970’s when a ‘white $X%?/’ – i.e umpire – made a decision in error). Love to the whole family especially Kate. Hopefully knowing what an impact Louis had outside your family gives some comfort. He really is one of the best the world has to offer and certainly the best that I’ve known…..

  35. To all the Joseph family – what a beautiful and kind man Louis was. Such a big heart and such a positive and big personality.
Many great memories of watching the footy from the Saints Social Club at Moorabbin and at Waverley. You have left us all with so many happy memories.
    God bless and best wishes.

  36. Our deepest sympathy to the whole family on the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. May he rest in eternal peace. All our love, Therese and Jennifer Hanna.

    1. A beautiful mass, personalised with wonderful memories, thoughts and photos. We are sharing the link with Louie’s family in Lebanon and the USA as well. May God rest his soul. From Therese Hanna and family in Sydney.

  37. The size and warmth of Louis’ heart was always abundantly obvious to me as a kid growing up. He was always very kind to me and I loved the sparkle in his eyes. He was incredibly entertaining to watch at St.Kilda matches down at Moorabin. No one could match his passion! Adored by my Mum and Dad- he will be deeply missed. Sending love to you all at such a sad time.

    1. A beautiful, moving tribute to Louis. So much love ,affection and respect for a gentleman who displayed so much love for family and life .
