  1. It is a privilege to learn more about your father, Olwyn.

Clearly, he was a multi-faceted man who lived a rich and varied life. He sounds a very special kind of Dad.

Condolences to you and the family,

    Mandy Homewood

  2. What a wonderful service. Peter was a very fine man, and with Audrey, the two were wonderful neighbours for over twenty years. We shared many coffees, garden cuttings, books, Christmas drinks and recipes over the years and have so greatly appreciated having Peter and Audrey as friends in our lives.

    We miss them both.

Very best wishes, Sue, Ian and Matthew Haldon

  3. Lovely funeral. I’m kerryn Hansen daughter of Pam nee Coller and Stan Hansen. Noel Coller is my uncle. What a beautiful tribute to your dad life, he would have been proud. Condolences go out to all of Peter’s family and friends. On behalf of Noel and Pam Coller and families.

  4. What a beautiful service… so lovely to hear the stories of Peter Helen’s father..
Helen and I were at school together special memories of a car trip with Helen and her father and mother visiting some of the old golf mining towns and Bendigo in year 11.
And watching Peter milling wheat making bread with The Kenwood mixer.
He will stay in your hearts forever. “soft star shining”

  5. What a wonderful, loving tribute to your dear Dad, father in law, grandfather , great grandfather.
I first met your parents around 1960 when they visited my parents (Eddie and Marijke Swanink) to talk about bushwalking together with Noel Coller. I met them several times over the years, and they were such good friends to our family. My sister Coosje also visited them, I think in PNG. Happy times.
The last time I saw any of you, Olwyn, Anne or Helen, you were still very young, and now you are loving wives, parents, and even grandparents!
Peter’s legacy of love and wholesome interests and pursuits lives on through you all.
My heartfelt and loving sympathy to you all,
    Irene xx

  6. Olwyn, Anne and Helen,
Our condolences to you and your families. Peter and Audrey were both unique and we have many fond memories of times together after Bill and Audrey were teaching together at Box Hill HS in the early 1970s.
The service webcast was lovely and showed why Peter will always be remembered by family and friends.

Good luck to all and keep safe and healthy in the current COVID-19 lockdown.

  7. To Olwyn, Anne, Helen and families,
Joining with you today, remembering a Special, Fascinating, Clever, Loving and Caring man it was my privilege to know! Your Dad, Grandpa and a friend to me also. Such special tributes to a wonderful man! Remembering you all with love and care in your sadness and loss. Prayers for comfort and peace in the time ahead. Your Mum and Dad were a pair “made in Heaven” and now again together. Memories are forever – hold them close, share them, be comforted by them, laugh, cry and never let them go! He is always with you and a part of you, because he was your Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa! So grateful I knew him too!!

  8. Both Peter & Audrey were amazing people. Always delightful & always welcoming. My two daughters & I often called in whenever we were in Melbourne. He enriched our lives & Peter & I shared a love of poetry so I hope one day you will publish a book of all his poems. I’ll be one of the first to buy a copy. His poems took you on a wonderful & romantic journey. Thank you

  14. We were fortunate have met Peter shortly after moving to Australia. His friendship and good advice helped us settle into a new country.

We have wonderful memories of spending time with both Audrey and Peter and sharing their wonderful stories of their travels around the world.

Very sad to say good bye to him. Having spent some time with him after Audrey passed away I know he missed her a lot. I hope this means they are together again.

    Rest in peace Peter.
