  1. Wonderful service for Ray. We will remember him as a kind, passionate, funny, inclusive man loved by all. We feel lucky to have crossed paths through Julie, I will be having a cigar in his honour.
Thinking of you Julie and sending our love.

  2. What an amazing service, remembering such a vibrant life.
I enjoyed working with Ray at Bimbadeen. He taught not to take life too seriously and not to bother with all ridiculous requirements from the department.
    RIP

  3. A beautiful celebration of life for an amazing man! Sending Rays family all the love in the world during this difficult time. A VB was had by everyone in my family at the dinner table tonight to remember him and a candle was SAFELY lit while watching the funeral recording.

  4. Julie, Alistair and Gabby,
What a lovely service for Ray, we are so happy that you sent us the link so that we could be part of it. It was amazing to hear all of the tributes and love for Ray. The photo from Bordeaux reminded us of when we met-we were all so young! We’re glad we were able to get together in Australia and Canada to continue our friendship. Ray was an amazing man, we’ll never forget him. We’re toasting him now with a nice Australian red.

  5. Fond memories of a fabulous teacher and mentor.

Ray (Mr Muscles) you were one in a million and my kids were blessed to have you teach them at Bimbadeen. I will miss our Collingwood V Carlton banter and the tatts tickets I often had to put on as Carlton lost.

A beautiful, kind hearted and very funny man we were privileged to know.

RIP Ray (Mr Legione, Mr Muscles)

  6. Lane and I are so sad to hear of Ray’s passing, Ray and Julie were the best neighbors we have ever had and we have lots of memories many concerning Ray’s loud laugh even though our houses are 200 meters away from each other we knew when Collingwood was winning or losing, Ray was also so generous if he saw a need he would jump straight to it, when Ray and Julie moved to their new house for a period my wife and I actually grieved because we knew that what we had was special, we look forward to a real catch up when it’s our turn! until then God be with you, Ray
