As Roger’s Company Commander in 1968 in Vietnam, I remember him as a fine soldier who could be relied on; always true to the motto of the Regiment – ‘Duty First”. In later years he , in his own quiet way, has been a great support to his comrades. We will remember him.
I wish I could have been there to farewell you Roger.
I will never forget you.
Margaret Loffler,

Roger,
You served the Nation with honour. You offered unconditional friendship to those you encountered and respected all, especially your Fraternal colleagues. You will be a large loss to Margaret, who you also offered unconditional love. Sleep well my friend, you have deserved the peace you now have.
Sincere regards to Margaret and the family
