After watching the service online, if you can leave a guest message to let the family know you have joined into the service, that would be greatly appreciated.
As I was on retreat it was a week later that I heard the sad news and watched the last farewell video of Rosemary. I am still thinking of her and of the very happy friendship I had with both your amma and thaththa. Your amma was an extra sister I had when I lived in Melbourne always ready to help, chat or get advice from. Since then we have been in touch wherever we were and finally I was lucky to have them both in Colombo when I got back here. No amount of words can describe her personality, she was such a wonderful person to say the least and memories of her will live on in all those whose lives she touched. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies, and thank you for including me in her story.
Thank you to all of the Weeremantry family for sharing and including me in this last farewell to an amazing lady. It was a wonderful service and revealed many interesting sides of Aunty Rosemary that I didn’t already know of. Both Uncle Christy and Aunty Rosemary will live on in my memory for the nice people that they were in life. Their legacy lives on in their children and families that carry on with the same love and friendship. May God bless them all!

Dearest Ravi, Shala, Romesh, Nil and Roshi,
Your Amma was a very special person who was full of joy, got everyone up dancing the baila and a sing song with her piano playing and so generous and warm to everyone she met.
I am so sorry I couldn’t come for the funeral and hope to see all of you over the next few days if that’s possible.
Love and hugs,
Tamara
Sending our deepest sympathies to your family. Aunty Rosemary always had a heart warming smile and a loving personality. Thank you for sharing this honourable service, celebrating her life.
May Aunty Rosemary attain eternal peace.
Much love,
Vijitha (nee Rajapakse) daughter of late Birdie Rajapakse and Cecil Wijegunawardena (Dehiwala) their daughters Nimesha (Sri Lanka) and Nilu (Melbourne-Templestowe).
To Ravi, Shala, Nilli, Romesh, Roshi and families, my deepest condolences to you all. I will always remember Aunty Rosemary’s big smile, great laughter and the welcoming good times of my childhood holidays with the Weeramantrys. Your dear Mum put up with our antics. A beautiful lady with a big heart who will be greatly missed. I’m sorry I could not be there with you yesterday. May Aunty rest in eternal peace with the angels. With all my love to you.
Ravi, Sharla, Nili, Romesh, Roshi and all the family
Thank you for all the memories you shared of your precious Amma. She radiated joy, love, thoughtfulness, care and humility wherever she was.
Amma and Thatha were a special, unforgettable couple! It was our privilege as neighbours to see all of you grow up in a happy home where we also spent many happy hours.
Now the time has come to say goodbye to a friend we will always remember with deep love.
Accept our heartfelt care and sympathy – always remember there will be a special place in our hearts for all of you.
A fitting farewell to a kind-hearted, charitable lady… A well organised service beautifully carried-out by all who loved her… much appreciated!
Now that she has fulfilled God’s will on earth with her mission accomplished, we can all be happy and take comfort in knowing that God the Father will take her in to His Kingdom to reunite with all others already there. We thank God for her life…
Good Night & God Bless Rosemary, may you,
†REST IN PEACE† Amen!
Dear Ravi, Shalini, Romesh, Nilmini and Roshini,
Aunty Rosemary was the most joyous person. I had the pleasure of spending time with her and Judge Weeramantry at their busy apartment in Colombo. She made my days with WICPER so enjoyable with our cups of tea on the balcony. She was a great lady and those and all my very fond memories will be in my heart.
With our deepest sympathy and all our love,
Mario, Gayle, Hamish and Heather Subramaniam
A beautiful ceremony and such loving memories shared for a remarkable lady who lived life.
Farewell Rosemary. My dearest thoughts and condolences to each family member.
Such a beautiful service. Rosemary would have been proud of her lovely send off. We will miss her trips to London and her cheerful, larger than life personality, especially her laugh. She was loved by all. My deepest condolences to Ravi, Shala, Nili, Rom, Roshi and the rest of her grandchildren/family. May she now rest in peace.
We will miss our wonderful, jolly and ageless friend, Rosemary. As I write this, I remember her sparkling eyes and hear her laugh. Between The Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Australia we couldn’t meet up as often as we would have liked, but the memories are as fresh as ever. We will miss her. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the family she leaves behind.
Heartfelt sympathies to loving family.
Such a pleasant personality. We will always remember your smiling face love frpm Therese

A wonderful service o celebrate a generous, loving and energetic woman, mother and wife, whose sense of humour was refreshing and inspiring. And she was a patient one too, as she struggled to explain to me how to make lampries and how we would take Ravi home late at home to find her waiting to feed us rice to sober us up. My commiserations and sadness to all of your family at your loss, but I know her spirit will live with you all forever.
