Stephen was a valued friend who inspired and lifted spirits of dialysis patients at RDU. Everyone who met him enjoyed his comforting words, happy disposition and positivity. He was a very bright spark in the unit in an otherwise somber space.
I will also miss the shared posts and messages via Instagram.

Thank you for making it possible to join you at Stevo’s funeral. It is still so hard to comprehend that Stevo has died, possibly because his spirit has always shone so brightly.

Stephen’s acceptance of his illness was an example for us all. He loved us and we loved him. He brought sunshine into our lives.
VALE my darling, angel, sweetheart, treasure Meese. As I said at your 50th Birthday, to know you is to love you. I will miss your ‘books’ via texts full of humour, wisdom, care, inspiration and love. My phone feels very vacant without you. A bright light has gone out in our world but will burn brightly in our hearts always. Thank you for your friendship, and for being an integral part of my life and my days for over four decades. Those with whom you crossed paths in this lifetime are indeed blessed.
