  1. Such an evocative and heart melting tribute to Susan, the words and photos that you have all shared are beautiful. Thank you so much for making the service available.

  2. With loving memories of our lovely cousin Susan. Many memories of wine and music at the Bourke and Wills folk festival.

  3. Wow! What a Woman & a Life well-lived – no wonder Wurundjeri Country & this Old Land welcomed Susan all those years ago…

Though I remember little patches of Memories of Susan; her colour, drive & enthusiasm for the her family, the people & place we all called home for so long – Eltham & the Bush by the Yarra Yarra – her stature loomed large.

That her dynamic legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren, and that her spirit & story will remain strong seems a given. As I write these words from a place I’m sure Susan has been and would have found some aspect – even in the heat of the Build-up – to love. A Whistling Kite soars above echoing those sentiments…

Sending our Love & thoughts to Soph & Sisters & Family…xo Tara (& Elijah)

Farewell to my long time friend Susan.
I have known Susan since she sold books to the school library where I taught long ago from her white van.

We met Susan and Jock through bushwalking in the early 90’s, and shared lots of laughs and experiences during numerous camping trips, bush walks and bike rides. Susan had an admirable energy and zest for life. Forever remembered.

  21. To Susan’s family,
This was a very fine tribute to Susan from so many people who loved and admired her very much. She was unique in so many ways and was so very versatile with what ever she undertook, and did everything brilliantly. She was a great role model to her daughters who will miss her very much.

  22. We were both so sorry to learn of Susan’s passing. It came as quite a shock because we had lost contact with her the last few years. We have such fond memories of her that we shared through friendship and through many activities with the Bushwalking Club.
Remembering her vibrancy, stamina and generosity are foremost in our minds.
Rest In Peace and take Heaven by the reins.

We shall continue to miss the old vibrant, active, Susan and retain our great memories of time spent together, here, there and everywhere, eating, drinking, talking, walking, travelling, camping, all such happy activities, mostly with Jock too. The last two years have been very difficult but she never complained and was much braver than I was. A much loved friend.

Thinking of you all beyond the day, as adjusting to the loss of a loved one is among the biggest, hardest soul work we ever do.
May your memories of Susan continue to build your sense of who you are and can be. Much love, Ani
