I have known and worked with Wendy for the last 10 years . Iam the Scottish nurse she worked with at Cabrini Brighton , the one she could never understand !!! We had many’s a laugh as she tried hard to mimic the Scottish accent but just couldn’t quite do it ..She would even text me out of work and get me to record my voice saying things she told me too so as she could play it back to her family . I will never forget you .RIP WENDY XX

  3. I had the pleasure of working with Wendy for many years on the infamous Ward 4, Austin Health. We shared all of our breaks together and there wasn’t much we didn’t share about our lives. I knew all about her parents and brothers. She loved you all so much. Wendy first introduced Paul to us all at my wedding. She made all of the invitations and place cards for me just because she wanted to. I then had the honor of attending their wedding, which I remember to be a wonderful day. I also remember when she was pregnant with Luke and how excited she was to become a mother. We haven’t seen each other often since those days but when we did, I always remarked on how happy she seemed.
RIP Wendy. You were one of a kind.

  4. Our deepest condolences.
I am so sorry for your loss Paul, Luke, Emily, Laura and Ken.
It was a pleasant surprise to have heard your voice back in 2019 before COVID and how proud you were and shared me the photos of your grown up kids. Well our coffee catch up will have now to be in the next lifetime. I remember the fun we had with the team while working night shift in the old ward 4 and carried on even to 7 North. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend. You are such a lovely soul.
Sheila and I will miss you dearly.
    Rest in Peace….Wendy.

I remember the laughs we had back then the old Ward 4 then to 7 north doing night shift for years and the advises you gave me were very much treasured. You are such a lovely soul and down to earth person.

  7. Kochana ciocia, Paul, Ken, Pawel and family,

Our deepest condolences to you and your family, and we are sorry that we can’t be with you.
Our prayers are with Wendy and you all at this time.

The photo montage was a beautiful reminder of Wendy’s character and sense of humour, and brought back to me so many memories of our shared childhood.

    Love Piotr, Phuong and family

  8. My deepest condolences.
I have very fond memories of Wendy, especially growing up. She was the slightly scary, surrogate older cousin to many of us. I will always remember how she had a witty and mischievous streak to her.

  9. Dearest Chrzesna, Ken, Pawel, Paul, Luke, Emily and Laura and the whole Bucki and Fletcher family, I’m so very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Wendy from when we were kids, in particular, I remember her humour and being in awe of her confidence and envious of her height! I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how deeply loved she was by each of you. Thank you for letting me tune into the service today. Pawel and Paul, you both spoke beautifully. You’re all in my thoughts in this very difficult time. Lots of love to you all, Joanna Dabrowski.

  10. My deepest condolences.
I have very fond memories of Wendy, especially growing up. She was the slightly scary, surrogate older cousin to many of us. A little bit bossy. But always always fun. I enjoyed her wicked sense of humour.

  11. The service was lovely, loved hearing all the stories about Wendy. The photo montage was amazing and had quite a few giggles with all the pics where she was pulling faces, when the one popped up of her and I, I remember that like it was yesterday, she had just organised her friend Lisa to come and do both our hair at Margot and dads place and I insisted we get a selfie with our new hair and I’m so glad I did. My favourite photos though were all the family ones, they are just beautiful. Wendy truly was such an amazing loving and caring person and we will forever treasure our memories of her. Thinking of you all at this time xxxx Sonja and Tony

  14. Beautiful service and lovely photos. Although I only knew Wendy for a couple of years she was a beautiful friend to me and I will miss her very much. She was lots of fun and we shared many laughs at work and when out for coffee.
Sending love and strength to you Paul, Luke, Emily and Laura.

  15. I remember Wendy from her first days at the Austin (Ward 4 – Renal) we all socialised together and had such fun times. Even when she first met Paul at the ball. Wendy was a beautiful, very caring, professional nurse. One night duty I had a cyst on my neck that Wendy said she could cut out… we got a plastics set from theatre asked one of the doctors what to do and Wendy operated on my neck at the nurses station with all the confidence of a surgeon.
We lost track over the years but caught up in recent years as our paths crossed at Sandringham hospital. She hadn’t changed, such an energy.
I am so sorry for your loss and for the loss to the world of nursing, she was one of the special ones. May the good memories fill you hearts and get you through your pain. She was so loved XXC
