Beautiful service, it managed to encapsulate all the qualities, traits and spirit that I admire and respect about big boss Barry, a true celebration of a being with heralding, even though he was humble, and remained unassuming, never blowing his own trumpet. He is a standout example of a human, able to admit flaws, but to strive to better himself, not just for himself, but for the people that gravitated around him, and in particular his family! I’m privileged to have know Barry, and the greater Marmion family, and to have been a surrogate member myself. He was a true Waterman, like his father Jock before him, and Mike, Brad and Verena his offspring, and Wayne also…, Barry is salt of the earth and ocean, he taught me things when I was a wayward teen, that I didn’t realise at the time, and later on working with Mike and Barry. I learnt many things from the boss, he has made a significant positive impact on my life and being, and I will love him forever for that. You’ll be sorely missed my friend, but you will always be celebrated and revered in my eyes. My love to Doris, Mike, Brad and Verena❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
What a joyful and ingenious man. I am so glad my brother Tony Love was able to spend boat-building time with him – two people very dedicated to perfecting the job in hand. Thank you Doris for including me among the friends watching the livestream. Peace to you and all your family. Solway
