  1. Thankyou for the opportunity to participate from afar. It was lovely to hear more about your love story Di and to see all the wonderful photos and learn more about Doug’s life. I once read that never will you speak in a more challenging circumstance than for that of a family member or in front of a more supportive audience. Rosie, Jenny and Tim made Doug and the entire family proud with their beautiful words, as did the grandchildren. Sending big hugs and love from Umbria, Italy to you all.

  2. Dearest Diana & family
Such a beautiful and moving service in honour of dear Doug. He was without doubt a very special person indeed who meant so much to so many and he will be forever in our hearts.
Our love, thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  7. Dear Di,
Barbara and I are sorry we are not able to be with you today but will share with you from Sydney by video.
We extend to you our deepest love and understanding upon Doug’s passing.
I have the highest respect for Doug as a man, a physician, and as a companion with whom I shared our Nepal adventure so long ago.
We pray that you will be comforted by our God, the God of all Comfort – “Just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ” (2 Corinthians 1:3-7).
I am sure Doug will now marvel at the wonderful grace of the Lord whom he knew.
“For God so loved the world that He gave H,is one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16)
We will hold you in our prayers as in the past.
    With much love,
    Ern and Barbara Kulmar
