Although we did not know each other very well, it makes me very happy to know that Aldo made a great success of his life and was much loved by family and friends.

Thinking of you all today Louis, and will remember your Dad fondly,and the haircuts going back 50years.
Aldo, you truly were a man of the people. I can still hear your voice, “hello, my friend”, every time the door swung open at the shop. It was never just a haircut with you, it was a welcome.
We first met when you started cutting my Dad’s hair, and over the years I was lucky enough to also form a friendship with your son Louis. Then came the day I brought my own boy Dante in, a kid who was genuinely terrified of getting his hair cut. You took one look at him, worked your quiet magic, and before long he couldn’t wait to come and see you. The patience and kindness you showed him is something I’ll never forget. You turned what could have been a battle into one of his favourite outings.
When Louis told me the sad news of your passing, I felt it more than I expected to.
I’ll say this though, it’s the only time in my life I’ve been genuinely glad to see Collingwood get a win, because I knew the joy it would have brought you, surrounded by your boys.
The world has lost one of its good ones, but I’ll always hear that greeting, just as I can hear you clear as anything saying “beautiful, beautiful” when telling me about your trip to Tasmania.
Heartfelt condolences to Louis, Anthony and all the family. Aldo’s spirit and teachings live on through all of you.
It was a lovely sevice! We first met Aldo and Silvana on a 28 day European Bus tour 24 years ago. We became instant friends with a friendship that lasted many, many years. They are such a loving and caring couple.
We visited them twice in Australia from Canada ( our home) and enjoyed every minute of our visit. Aldo loved showing us his garden and fruit trees and telling us what his secrets were to maintain the trees and garden.
It was a sad parating on our last visit, but we had plans of visiting again but we guess God had other plans for this wonderful person. Aldo may you drive the big boat in Heaven!

Way back when Frankston was as small as I was my immediate world consisted of kinder, the doctor Mr Mikalijunis, Mr Mathews from the sport shop, Mr Ward the Dentist and Aldo the barber. all were a big deal, but I got to see aldo most often between dad and my visits to the arcade and Aldos sneaky visits to the TAB that mum ran – early 70,s. For the last few years aldo or Louis have cut my sons hair, some 50 years on. A lot of memories that are suddenly so much more important. Will be missed but always remembered.
