To all Alan’s family and friends I am sorry I could not be there, for my dear friend Alan whom I knew
from the first day he joined the Club. He enjoyed life and all of his friends enjoyed being a friend to him.
I know he will enjoy his Heavenly Reward . Love to Marita and all the family.
Great memories from afar – of Alan ever-helpful and friendly at Peter Isaacson’s and also at various running meets (good to see Trevor Vincent recalling names and races) where Alan and I often had a friendly tussle – great competitor and top running mate. Lovely service and a joy to be able to watch it.
Sorry to have missed this special day honouring Al’s life. He was a good guy. Love to Marita, Rob & families. Much love Rose & Norm

What an excellent memorial to our friend “Mouse”! The Kelly Family set the feeling for the “service” so well, and all those who spoke told me on the one hand more than I had already had the privilege of learning about the life of “Mouse” but on the other hand, it all just confirmed what I already knew: what a fabulous all-round person he was! And the thoughts at the end about the Dash were brilliant, fitting, and just the right way to make us all think about life, and sadly with it, death. I am sure Alan would like me now to open a bottle of beer in his memory, but it is now 3am here in Munich and time for bed. I will drink a beer this evening, and this time, it will have so much more meaning.
You will never leave from my impressions all in my life. Give you love all my heart. My beautiful guy. Mai Tassama
