  1. My condolences to all Alison’s family. Long ago the Macvean family and our family were members of the Burwood Presbyterian Church. Margaret and Alison were ahead of me at PLC and I have everlasting gratitude to Alison for looking after me on the first few days when I started at PLC in East Melbourne and had to learn how to travel on 3 trams. That wonderful support gave me a good start at PLC East Melbourne where I was eventually Head Prefect in 1955. Great memories of Burwood too and I was pleased to find the beautiful funeral service here on line. With my love, Christine Wilson (Née LUKE)

  2. At last I was able to stream the the beautiful service and tribute to Alison.
It brought back so many wonderful memories of Ron and Alison, of their friendship , and of their love and kindness to me and my children. So lovely to see their likenesses reflected in Michael, Kirsty and
    Ben

  3. What a privilege to share the beautiful service with you. Heather and I announced our engagement when staying at Mt Beauty with Alison, Ron and family. Alison’s total acceptance and embracing of me as part of the family, then and ever since, is a treasured memory.

  4. What a wonderful service which brought back so many memories of Auntie Alison. It means so much to be able to see this from Somerset. Lots of love to my cousins and all their partners and children.

  5. Sending much love to the Sheppard and extended family.

  6. Dear Family of Alison and Ron,
It was an honour being able to view the moving funeral of Alison.
She and Ron were members of BUC for many years.

    Sincerely,
    Glen and Lance Schlipalius

  7. Dear Michael, Kirsty, Ben and family,
We have lost touch over the years but I have strong memories of Aunt Alison and Uncle Ron and times spent at Gilmour Road when we were young. The stories I heard at the funeral of he wisdom and common sense resonate strongly with me. She wrote a reference for me when I applied to study Social Work in the mid-nineties. Bless her and all of you.

  9. Wonderful service for an incredible woman and much respected work colleague who by a twist of fate became an extended family member.

  10. What a fitting service to farewell Alison. She was always authentic, caring and funny. I am an artist and she understood artists. Please accept my condolences.

  11. A beautiful and fitting tribute to a amazing and strong woman. I also remember the Plum Ice when over for a sleepover with Kirsty. I tried to make it this year. My love and thoughts go to you all XX
