  1. Remarkable lady. I wish I had learnt more about you. Our time we knew each other too short. Condolences to family n friends, especially Yr son. ❤️

  2. To Matt & the McCombie clan – I’m so disappointed I couldn’t be there to celebrate Barbara’s life today & read out my spiel in person (didn’t want to spread my flu germs around to all the crowd).
    Such a beautiful service.
Barbara, you were one of a kind, the most generous beautiful soul, independent spirit & a no-nonsense person.
Fly high Sister Bea, till we meet again, lots & lots of love, Kathleen xxx

  3. As Matt’s middle mum I can only say how wonderful and how privileged I am to have met Barbara. Today I learned more about what a truly amazing woman she was, and how she and Matt are so alike. They were made for each other. They really had so many similarities and I’m so sad she left far too soon. I’m happy that I felt so close to all her family and friends at her fantastic celebration of life and could share everyone’s stories.

It was incredible to be able to join the celebration from over 10,500 miles away in London and from my bedroom. It is now 06.30!

  4. What a beautiful send off to a remarkable lady. Barbara, you may have only been in our life a short time but you have left your mark – not only as a wonderful mum to my big brother but as a wonderful person to have known. I’ll be raising a Baileys as soon as I am able! Lots of love to all the McCombie family. From Emily & Jamie xxx

  5. We joined you all from San Cassiano in the heart of the Dolomite mountains. Such an appropriate place for us to be when celebrating the life of Barb, a woman with a huge capacity for love and for life. The tribute to her life was wonderful, the stories told illuminating, and all the pieces of the puzzle of Barb’s life came together to paint the complete picture of the kindest, most thoughtful and loving lady. Matt, you are as extraordinary as Barb and your tribute to her was magnificent. David and I will celebrate your recent time together in Lisbon next week when we walk the streets with the maps Barb gave us. We will miss her warmth and love so much and cherish our memories of her forever. Lots of love to you all, Karen and David Fitzpatrick xx
