  2. Dear Aunty Rhoda, Leanne and Clare. We have just finished watching the service and found it so moving. It was wonderful to hear the stories about Uncle Barrie and so many things reminded us of Dad too. Their shared love of sport, sense of humour, walking and chatting with friends as well as enjoying simple pleasures with children and grandchildren. We know this will be a very painful time, so know that you are all in our hearts. With love always…Lucy, Ben and Rowan (the Sheffield Hobill clan!)

  3. Dear Rhoda, Leanne, Claire and families. How lovely it was to be able to join in the Celebration of Barrie’s life from so far away.
We will remember Barrie with fondness and love from growing up together, his emigration to Australia and then coming back to Wellingborough with Rhoda his bride. We lived opposite each other in Stanwell Way experiencing the births of Leanne and Clare. (Never to be forgotten!!). We had some good times together argueing about football and sport in general and we will never forget him. He was Tottenham and Melv was Man U! Happy times.

  4. A beautiful service for a beautiful man.
Such wonderful memories from you all, and words from adored grandchildren.

    Rest In Peace.

Deepest love to Leanne, Clare, Mrs. Hobill and the entire family.

    1. I was there in spirit and watched with tears in my eye. Mum and dad and Julia were with me also. It was such a lovely service and everyone spoke with such heart, warmth and love. I’m so glad we were able to be included in Barrie’s funeral viewing. We only wish we could’ve been there physically to hug you all. Xx

  16. Dear Barrie,

We will miss your smile, conversations in the driveway, humour, jokes and Matt will miss your Carlton conversations. You have left behind a beautiful caring family and as long as they are alive you will always be alive. Even though today is sad, we we will continue to have many conversations about you in the years to come, by talking we help keep your spirit alive.
We hope you are dancing, bowling, watching sport and forever looking over your family from HEAVEN.

    Lots of Love

  17. Beautiful service Rhoda, Leanne and Clare
Captured the ‘Mr Hobill’ we knew so well especially the numerous chats in our front yard on one of his walks
Again, so sorry for your loss,

    1. Dear Rhoda, Clare & Leanne , so sorry that COVID prevents Andrew and I being there with you for the funeral. It was a lovely service and very nice to here all about Barries life. It brought back some great memories of him such as camping at Corowa and the teasing he gave Andrew about changing to a good team, meaning Carlton. My heart goes out to you and all the family at this hard time. Love to you all, Clare.
