“Beryl was a special woman. Taking on what was essentially a family of grown kids at such a young age, the difficulties of two being disabled and requiring care, but not letting that change the way she loved and cared for her children and bringing the family together for so many, many loving experiences that will be with me for the rest of my life… a beautiful celebration of her and what she’s done as a mother, grandmother and of course wife so so long. She will be missed. Much love from Dad and I.” Alexander Booth
What a beautiful service for a beautiful woman. Its been so long since I’ve seen Beryl, but I will never forget the year I spent living with Beryl, Ken (also know as Ben and Keryl) and Elise in 1987 in Bellevue Hill. She was like a second mother to me during that time and showed me such kindness, warmth and generosity. Her cooking was next level – she was incredible to watch in the kitchen though I did somehow manage to throw one of her creations at the wall and onto the crisp white carpet once whilst runnning meals out to the dining room for a business client that Ken was entertaining. I was absolutely mortified, but in true Beryl style, she laughed it off and whipped up another dish in no time.
She was funny, cheeky, outrageous, and an absolutely hilarious human being.
No doubt she will be sorely missed by all who loved her..farewell Beryl.. Ken will be wrapped to have you back by his side, and those that you have left behind will be left with their memories of you and the imprint you have left on their lives.
Lots of Love,
Fe Pemberton xxxx

So glad the service was streamed so that I could attend. As Elise’s close friend at school I was on the receiving end of Beryl’s hospitality many times. She was so loving and welcoming and her cooking was amazing. We were also quite happy that Ken and Beryl had such a well stocked bar which we always enjoyed when they were on holidays!
Sending love to you all
