Echoing Anne”s sentiments, I’m glad that I got to know Brian, even if it was for such a short time. The photos were lovely and were a collection of the best parts of what I experienced with Brian during that short time on our travels together. He was fun loving, in the middle of everything, always laughing and joking. When you said that he had lots of stories from his travels, I am sure that he would have retold the one about the luggage going in the drink many times. We still talk about it! RIP.
Sylvia. That was a lovely service for Brian. What an amazing life he lived and was happy that you were able to be part of it.
We ( the cruise girls) didn’t have a long time with you and Brian, but the time we did have was very special. Love. Anne
What a lovely and fitting farewell service for Winchy’s send off Even knowing him for 50 years, I learnt more about him from his brother, Peta and ,of course, Sylvia , with their kind words , in such a short time. It’s often said, that you find out more about a person when they’ve gone. But I’m not complaining. From the very first moment I was introduced to the FabFour,( Pringle , Hicks, Mclellan and Winch), in the Esplanade Hotel in Perth, I knew I had met my future Great friends. And so it has proved..my many visits staying with Winchy, in Melbourne andcTrentham, and his visits to the UK , are occasions that are cemented in my mind for ever. Thank you Winchy,( and Mclellan), for your everlasting friendship and memory. I’ve had a very tearful afternoon. RIP. We will meet again., one day. .
Geoff, Terri, Sylvia, Peta and Kelley.
So sorry I could not be with you today but I was with you in spirit. A wonderful service and heartfelt tributes from you all. Vale Brian… a gentle giant and my closest friend of more than 50 years.
Forever in my memory. Love Bob & Maree
Such a beautiful send off Sylvia, RIP Brian, you will be sadly missed by all who knew you.
