Carolynn,
You held such importance to me throughout my childhood. Your independence, work ethic, love for friends and generosity, modelled what a life well lived looks like. Thankyou for always welcoming me into your home and treating me like an extension of your family.
My favourite memories of you are at work in your study at Forest Rd, at all hours, whistling perfectly along to your radio.
To Troy, Guy and Kristy,
Your mum was one special lady. You held a beautiful service to honour her in the most McManus way. Thankyou for the laughs. I’m sure she is immensely proud to see her best traits, and possibly a few NZ quirks, living on with you three and your extended families.
Xxx Merryn.
The service was a beautiful tribute to Carolynn and eventhough it must have been very hard for Troy, Guy and Kristy to speak they did their mum proud. Love to her family and heartfelt sympathy for a wonderful friend who we will never forget.
What a fitting tribute to a beautiful lady and her full and adventurous life. Carolynn was truly the glue that made it all stick together in so many ways and we are grateful for the experience we had of that in our own lives. She was a kind, generous, uplifting and fun filled lady who we shall miss and remember fondly for many years to come
Sending my deepest sympathy from Fee, Chloe, Peter and Leo to Troy, Guy, Kristy and my extended family.
Aunty Caroline was a ray of shinning light in the world and I will never forget her kindness, infectious laugh and beautiful smile. Fly with the angels and rip now with your husband. I feel blessed to have had you as an aunty in this lifetime. Sending big hugs down to you all from Queensland. ❤
Troy, Guy and Kristy,
I came into work and watched, Livestream.
Many thanks for arranging that.
All spoke well. I plan to watch it again later
in case I missed something. Carolynn will
be sadly missed and leaves a gap in all our
lives.
Lots of love,
Terry.
I played tennis AGAINST Carolynn (Batt. Park) for quite a few years and it was always a delight. Always bubbly, bright and happy, especially when she executed her infamous cross court drop shot spinny thingy, that would leave us all stumped and herself grinning. She knew how to run us younger folk around the court that’s for sure. I know Carolynn loved to travel too and enjoyed hearing of her experiences. Lovely memories that will remain forever.
A lovely and fitting service. Well done to all – especially the family – Mum would have been super proud.
Carolynn, you will be missed but not forgotten. Nap in peace . . .
Carolynn, thank you for being YOU!
You are amazing!
You have an incredible family, a credit to you.
You were an important part of my life, I am honoured to have had you as a work-mate – I loved having a chat with you at work every morning at 7am, since I started with JCA in 2017, you were funny, witty, supportive, a great listener, loved a quick chat and laugh throughout the day, and I have missed you already given the ’empty’ office of the last 2 years! I was always going home to my family with stories about you and your interesting life and family and telling them about ‘how nice Carolynn is’.
I especially thank you for your care and support of me when my husband went through hard times in 2019.
I am very lucky to have had you in my life, and I can see you will be remembered, adored, and missed by the many lives that you have touched!
I hope we meet again one day …
Julie
Beautiful service – that’s the Carolynn we knew and remembered especially the laugh which we can still hear now (and the 5c worth of chips from the local fish and chip shop in Pukekohe every Friday for lunch in her early working days – and our entertaining work table tennis team) . Lots of memories from our working days… and a couple of trips to Boronia when the kids were small….. and always catching up on her family visits back home to NZ when she would call in to catch up with some old workmates and we always had a meal together……
I first met Carolynn at Max Parsons and associates, and then when I moved across to John Chivers & assoc , John was looking for a draftsperson and along with Jon Ladson mentioned that maybe Carolynn may be interested, the rest is history, I left JCA in 2004 , but will never forget Carolynn, I great person full of life and lots of laughter. Her drafted fieldrecords will live on forever with surveyors using them and no doubt admiring her work. Her drafting board backed on to my desk and sometimes I had to ask her to stop whistling as she would have her radio earplug in and I would be trying to calculate a difficult re-establishment survey. She got me to change the batteries on her calculator and sometimes re-load the closure program. Once at Max’s she came out as my Field assistant. She always talked about her three children and what they were doing a school. Your mum was a great woman and role model and I am sadened to here of her passing. Clemow
What a beautiful service celebrating your Mums life and achievements. Thank you for sharing your wonderful stories and memories of Carolynn’s amazingly full and loving life. You are so much like your Mum Kristy which was so lovely to hear and be present for.
I can picture her setting sail onto her next big adventure. Much love and prayers to your family. ❤️
Sending my deepest sympathy from Fee, Chloe, Peter and Leo to Troy, Guy, Kristy and my extended family.

Sending our love. Wishing we could have been there BUT what a wonderful send off the family gave our dear friend, Carolynn – a 65 year friendship was a treasure for us all. May she now rest in peace but knowing that her love, kindness and laugh will follow her wherever she goes.
Sending you all our strength and love for today- your mum will be honoured as she deserves. Brenton, Laura & children xx
Rest in peace Aunt Carolynn with Uncle Paul. Fly high and thank you for being a kind and strong woman in our lives. Sorry we couldn’t be there in person but remembering you with love and thinking of your beautiful family. Love Tom and Libby
