What a loving and beautiful tribute to wonderful Catherine. Julie shared the video with me. How remarkable that you were all able to speak and share wonderful memories of her during such a sad and emotional time for all of you. You can be very proud of how you each spoke from the heart and shared wonderful memories of her. I am very privileged to have known Catherine. I will always cherish our time spent with her as she guided Julie and me through many wonderful exhibits at the NGV. She was our own personal guide and I loved every minute spent with her. My love and condolences to all of the family.

A magnificent tribute to Catherine. Congrratulations
I knew Catherine from guiding at NGV. She was very supportive of newly trained guides and always happy to share her extensive knowledge
Her manner with the public was warm with always a little light touch to add to their enjoyment
As a retired guide with a brand new knee I was unable to watch the ceremony but would like to view it now I am home from hospital
The streaming of Catherine ‘s Life and Farewell was so very special ! Our memories of Catherine, go back over decades, and make a wonderful weaving of family stories and
Histories.
Catherine was definitely the strong and loving one for all in the family.
How Blest you all were to have been a close family with Catherine

To all Catherine’s family,
How special it was to watch
Such a special person and a perfect tribute to her life and the beautiful people she surrounded herself with. Well done Peter and family. So pleased to have had the opportunity to witness this sad but fitting occasion. She would again be proud of you all and I’m sorry I couldn’t be there.

What a perfectly fitting tribute to someone we all hold so dear to our hearts. Everyone who spoke today captured and channelled Catherine’s spirit. It is a privilege to be able to share in this special moment from afar. Sending all my love and condolences to “the Wimbas” – Peter, Liz, Michael, Sarah, Alice – to Lib and to everyone who Catherine treasured.
To the Entire Dobson Family

We go back a long way – from Primary school to the Gallery. Visiting Lib at the Howard’s in Burke Rd – often enjoying one of Bea’s delicious dinners.
Catherine was kind and capable – as a wife, mother, grandmother and a guide. Always direct, but pertinent in her comments, which were often witty, but relevant and knowledgeable.
The service was beautiful. All of the family spoke so eloquently and with such love – it shone! It was an appropriate celebration of her life. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren and her garden. The cuttings she gave me have struck – so I have a reminder of her generosity and thoughtfulness.
Dear Peter and family
Catherine’s service was a graceful and beautiful tribute to her. You all spoke so movingly of her and it was so lovely to be able to participate in her farewell albeit from a distance.
Bill’s and my thoughts are with you.
Warmly
Your cousin Catherine
My thoughts are with you all from so very far away. Sending my deepest sympathies.
In the chill of a Swiss evening which Catherine would have found quite amenable , we were warmed by the strength and love of the family’s tributes to Catherine’s meaningful life .
We will miss her and her wise counsel.
With much love to Peter, Liz, Michael, Sarah and Alice
I am so sorry that I couldn’t be with you in person, but very grateful to be part of the service remotely.
I feel very blessed to have had 48 years of knowing and had a wonderful friendship with Catherine, she will be so gratefully missed by me, but especially by you Peter and your children and grandchildren.
Vale Catherine Mary Dobson… Rest In Peace.
What a beautiful ceremony. You all spoke so well. Catherine would have been pleased.
I’m glad it was live streamed and I could be there in spirit.
Loving wishes to you all

What a wonderful send-off for a tremendous woman. Everyone spoke so well and perfectly articulated what a kind, caring and remarkable person Cath was. She will be deeply missed.
Vale Catherine.
A beautiful farewell to a wonderful woman. Vale Cath!

Catherine was a woman of sincerity, grace always and courage in adversity who lead an exemplary and generous life as a wife and mother. Her legacy will long be influential in wide circles and we extend to Peter and Liz, Michael, Sarah, Alice and their families sincere sympathy for their loss. Ted, Fran, Dan, Clare and Luke Exell.
To my godmother Catherine, Peter and family. I have found memories growing up with your family around and sharing those special times of the year. I wish I could physically be there today instead of watching the live stream. Forever in my heart. Love Tony Boerkamp.
Unbelievably saddened to farewell our friend profoundly more so here at 2am on a still night
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time
We go back a long way. Visiting the Howards with Lib was always treat especially if it involved dinner cooked by Bea. I have known Catherine since Primary school and worked with her at the gallery. Catherine was always kind and capable – to the point – and a loyal friend with a great sense of humour. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and was dearly loved in return. She will be missed.
Vibrant Catherine, a teacher, very curious, a Gardner an art historian, a walker, a traveller a racing enthusiast. Lived life to the full. Friend mother grandmother and wife.
