  1. Dear Kane and Lily,
Your Dad spoke of you both with such pride. He told stories from your birth to your current achievements. He was such a great story teller! He spoke of your family life with joy. His family meant everything to him. I know he and your Mum will be watching over you.

  3. Aunty Joan,Uncle Gordon,Karen,Michael,Tania,Kane, Lily and the entire family,
My heart is breaking for you all. As kids we played together, a trip to Melbourne was never complete without a visit with the Hourn family. Our Gran, your Aunty Val, loved all the Hourn kids like she loved her own grand children. Years past and I bumped into Chris and Tania at basketball when for a season or 2 my son and Kane played in the same team, we reconnected. I would quite often bump into Chris at the local meeting place, Mount Evelyn IGA, I’d yell out Christopher Hourn he would smile, laugh and say Ahhhhh Leanne, hug me and we would have a great chat. He usually had a lump of meat in his hand and he was off home to have a beer and cook. A bloody good bloke taken way to soon, RIP mate,I will miss you xx

  4. Dear Auntie Joan, Uncle Gordon, Karen, Mike,Tania, Kane and Lily and the entire family. My arms are round you all. What a beautiful tribute. Rest easy Chris…. I will always remember the day you hugged me and told me everything will be ok . So much love to you all. Jules xxxxx

No doubt your brother was a much loved man, the tributes for him were heartwarming.
His love of life, zest for the outdoors & travel were his greatest passion, how lucky were you to have such a great brother, travel companion and best mate. No doubt his journey will continue, from above awaiting the time when you meet again.

  14. I missed seeing you by about 2 minutes at IGA on the Thursday – I drove past you in the car park. Was disappointed, but thought to myself, “I’ll see him next time!”. But unfortunately we won’t have our random IGA run ins anymore. I even had Bailey with me too – You would have been just so excited to meet him.

  18. What a beautiful celebration of Chris’ life! Thank you so much for allowing us to share in the service. I would have been there in person if possible. I didn’t know Chris well but met him several times at my brother-in-law Rob’s house and found him to be a lovely guy. I have heard lots about him from Rob and Michaela and all such great things. I understand a lot of what Chris’ family and friends are going through right now and you are in my thoughts and prayers. The photos were fabulous and it was lovely to hear all the beautiful and heartfelt tributes. To Kane and Lily, to Chris’ parents and Chris’ siblings, and to Chris friends….may you all find comfort in each other and with the most wonderful memories of your father, son, brother and friend.
