  12. To My beautiful friend Clair

Clair, I am so thankful that I met you, after we met at mothers group when our babies were around eight weeks old. You were this mad, fun loving, crazy, young, awesome mum of twins.

Before I knew it, you and I were friends, which started with drinks, catching up here and there and then you became a part of me.

It wasn’t unusual that I would get a phone call late at night and we would just check in on each other and just chat about the good, the bad and the ugly, sometimes we tried to solve the worlds problems, create world peace but for most of the time we just laughed.

But what I am so happy about, is that you came with me to my special place Mallacoota with your 4 treasures and made this your annual January holiday.
You are the only person, I know, who got lost trying to get out of Mallacotta. [For those who have never been to Mallacoota, there is only one road in and one road out].
    Only you could do this.

But just know, that we are all here for your boys now and we will always look out for them .
Mitchell, Spencer, Harrison and Cooper you are loved so so much.
You are going to hear many stories of this wonderful woman who is your mother and will always be our dear friend. There are just so many fun and crazy Clair stories that will just keep coming as we recall the good times that we had.

So it’s farewell Clair. Fly high my beautiful friend. I’ll never forget you and you will live in my heart forever.
    Rest in peace Clair Bear.

Love Natalie, Murray, Alex and Bianca

Your mum’s eyes lit up whenever she spoke about her boys. She was never without a smile and was always giggling. I loved that you mum always stopped for a chat even though much time had passed since I’d last seen her. Your beautiful and spirited mum will always be with you.

  49. Clair ‘Britney’ Rowe. My first memory of you was dancing with Sally, Shelley and Jane at a party in early 1989 after ‘hanging out’ at Waverley pools. A lifetime of memories continued from there. We even named our daughters middle name after you which you loved. You would have loved the service today and been so incredibly proud of your boys. You will be missed forever. Another bright star will be shining in the star tonight. You are so incredibly loved.

  50. Oh Clair,

  51. To our beautiful friend Clair. Few people are larger than life – you were definitely one of the few. Crazy, zany, spontaneous, smart, funny, beautiful, energetic and above all a super mum. We can all take a leaf from your book, which is to consider every moment unique and special and make everyone feel part of this. We are also reminded of the fact that perhaps we didn’t realise what we had, until it was lost. That is you. We are heartbroken, along with so many others, but none so your special boys. Rest assured we, a small part of your circle of friends, will try our best to nurture, guide, love and care for Spence, Middy, Coops and Harrison – knowing that we cannot ever make up for you….no-one can.

Rest in peace beautiful girl. Looking forward to someday being with you again for another dance.

    Love you……Ben, Hanny and Brian.

I am choosing to use this as a wake up for me to live my best life, love more deeply, laugh more openly, be more present and recognise the beautiful things that are in my world. I light a candle in your honour and have a glass of champagne in your memory.
You have changed everyone a bit today. Rest in paradise.

We shared so much together … the school runs, footy runs, cricket runs, futsal runs, Born to Boogie runs, dancing at Aspendale yacht club together, bread run, basketball run, supermarket shopping, walking around the park sessions. I see you everywhere I go. You are someone we were all proud to call friend. I’ll never forget your beautiful soul and our great chats, or the way you would stop your car and jump out to say hi when you saw me walking Kirby (pug) and give him big hugs. I used to tell him, here comes Aunty Clair because he would be just as excited to see you. Josh is thinking of Mitchell and Spencer at this time, praying for all your family.xx

  70. Clair, the impact you made over the last couple of years during our few encounters was so memorable. The smile, the warmth, the laugh, all of you so welcoming. The way I met you was crazy. From one crazy person to another. I was at Sunny Boy in Mordialloc having a quiet drink or 2 or 3 and was just telling my partner how badly I needed to go back dancing. Then out of the blew I felt like a cigarette and told him I would go outside to find someone with one. He said “How the hell will you find someone its freezing cold out there with no one out side?” I replied “Oh you know me I’ll meet the right person”. Walked outside and bang met you. I asked you for a smoke and although you were finishing one you joined me for another. You then proceeded to tell me about a performance you were doing next weekend with Born to Boggie. OMG I was only just saying how my soul needed to go back to dancing and there you were my angel that guided me there. Of course we exchanged numbers and I joined. I wasn’t in your class but the one before and every time I saw you your smile and welcome always always was so caring and genuine.
The few shows we did do together we always had a drink or 2 and met in our outside space having a cheeky one together. Only cause we were drinking. Thanks for the warmth, the love, the laughs and for welcoming me from the very second I met you. You will be missed xxxx

  107. Clair, You were the best of what you could ask for of a workmate and socially. Intelligent, knuckled down when needed to…but by god you knew how to party and not take ourselves too seriously! You will always bring a smile to my face when I think of the Cad Schw days. Tragically, you again remind us again that life’s short and enjoy yourself in the moment. Best of luck to your boys and family and thinking of you Angus and family as well. Love Rowan and Nicole Brittain

  119. I really have no words, my thoughts go to all of you here today to remember the wonderful human that will always be Clair.

We all have anchors in life that keep us here in love with this world and all that share it with us. Sadly for a split second we can forget that we have them and we think that there is nothing. So hug your anchors, hold on to this world and remember the beautiful people like Clair.

Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice,
But for those who love, time is
    Eternity.

  120. Darling Claire, our moments of community connection where wonderful, a wine on the deck and social liaison by chance at Mallacoota reflecting and laughing will always be the moments of lightness. Your darling boys, we watched them grow in chapters as a family and at school. Go and rest and peace. What is left behind you in your pain is no reflection of what is to come.

Vibrancy, love and family. RIP Lee-Anne, Giovanna, and Lisa xxx
