Damo was cheeky boy from the day he was born. Full of energy and an incredible talent for his footy. My heart breaks for Gerard, Paulie, Kristie, Aaron & Layla today. The world shines a little less brightly now because your beautiful boy isn’t in it.
To Damo’s family, Gerard, Paula, Aaron, Kristie, Miss Layla and all the extended Scully and Gunther families. I will be watching with you all from STJOG Hospital in Berwick, wiping away tears with you, saying our last goodbyes to a beautiful young man.
Gerard, your very handsome son, Paula, the baby you carried to the boy that played in mud. Kristie and Aaron, memories only siblings know their secrets and Miss Layla, the dreams and plans you had both made. This young man Damien, made an impact on so many people. Through his family ties and passion, he has touched so many and not even known he did. This feels just so wrong. My heart is with you all today.
