  1. Dear Dave,
We will miss you incredibly. Your kindness, non judgement and ability to make each and every individual feel so, so special were attributes most of us aspire to.
Our two sons noted you were the adultperson who made an effort to speak to two moody teenagers at adult events. You treasured everyone.
Keep on dancing Dave wherever your soul lands. You will live on in our own hearts, minds and souls.
    Love Flip and Lex

  2. I had lost touch with David over recent decades and was shocked to hear he passed away. Although I am delighted to hear, from the many beautiful speeches, that he loved and was loved by so many people in his life.

All the descriptions sounded like the David I knew in the 80s/90s. I always sort of thought of him like a big brother and enjoyed his fun child-like energy. I am very sorry to hear that he suffered various problems both physical and mental and that gave him pain in his life. But I am glad he had so much support and love around him.

I knew him through mutual theatre friends and then we both studied at the National Theatre and then performed in a play together. I was always very fond of David and felt that it was reciprocal. Although in life you lose touch with people and I’m sorry we did.

After watching this video it has made me extremely sad but I thank you all for being part of David’s life and giving him the love that was so evident from your speeches. That has made me very happy to know how much love surrounded him.

Condolences to both his good friends and family, your grief is no doubt extremely complicated in this case.

Vale David. You were certainly one out of the box. And, as described in every speech, when you were ‘on’ you radiated sunshine, creativity and joy. The world will be less fun without you.

    Love, Tatyana xx

  3. Dave, de entre todas las gentes que he conocido en Australia, de tí me acuerdo especialmente, siempre diferente, original y alegre. Que no te falte mi abrazo allí donde estés.

  4. Dave, I will hold you in my heart forever you gave so much to everyone you met. My life is richer from you being part of it.
I just wish we could have taken the pain from you and so you could of seen how truly loved you were,
Will miss your presence but hold the memories close.

  5. David you were a many faceted diamond and loved by many – the best sort of legacy. I wish I had known you better. RIP

  6. David you dearest of Souls. I recall your funny, friendly & kind being always at my close friend Mandi’s.
I recognised when first meeting you at Rob & Mandi’s when teenagers as you being kind & gentle. I didn’t know what an incredibly funny man you were until later on.
What a beautiful & loved person you were. Depression is a desperately scary void & I am so very sad for you that you couldn’t find a way out of it. I know it well, but I don’t have the courage to know it’s time, that you’ve done what you can & judging by this celebration of you, you did more than enough. So much joy & laughter you brought to everyone.
You rest with the Angels Dave
    The pain is over
    ✨✨

  9. Dear David,

There are so many wonderful things I could say about you, but I’ll do my best to capture the essence of your amazing personality in this message. Your love and loyalty were like no other; you always stood by those you cared about with unwavering support and kindness. Your eccentricity and unique humor never fail to bring a smile to our faces, making even the dullest days feel bright and full of joy.

Your commitment to everything you do is truly inspiring. Whether it’s your work, your hobbies, or the way you cared for others, you put your heart and soul into it. You’re not just hilarious and uplifting; you’re the kind of person who makes everyone around you feel lighter and happier. Your crazy antics and spontaneous adventures add a delightful spark to life, making every moment spent with you an unforgettable experience.
