  1. Denis, it has now been several months since your passing. We think of you fondly every day mate. You have created a gap in all our lives, a gap that can only be filled by such a special person as you. One day in the next life we will be all re-united, until then mate “work on some new jokes” please.

  2. A really decent human being and nice guy who was clearly held in high regard by many. Loved the tribute music, especially the Israel Kamakawiwo’ole version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow, which seems to be a great song for a bloke with a heart of gold.

Condolences to Wilma and all of the family.

  3. Dear Wilma, Marae, Paul , Michael and families,
A beautiful service for a beautiful man.
Our hearts go out to you all at this sad and difficult time. You are all such a close and loving family, I know that you will find confort and strength in each other.
I will always fondly remember the first time I was introduced to Denis by George when we were going out together, Denis and Frank came to Griffith for a visit and we met up at the leagues club. After the introductions, Denis took me out for for whirl out on the dance floor, and shared memories of when all the cousins used to get together in Melbourne and get into mischief, when they were young. No doubt that Denis and George are up there sharing stories and having a good laugh, and they did have a warped sense of humour. May Denis RIP, love to you all.

  9. Uncle Denis was a machine. i used to take over his shift at the petrol station on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm and close around 11pm, it was very cruisy i used to listen to the football on the radio and do my uni work. but he had been at the station since about 5am going flat chat. a couple of times i took his shift and it was non stop from go to whoa stocking shelves, fixing the vacuum, loading up bbq gas and selling car washes etc etc. i was exhausted every time and i was 19 years old! he would ask me how many car washes i sold and i used to say oh quite a few maybe 50, he would laugh at me as he could get well over 100 easily. i learnt a lot from his work ethic and customer relationships. Uncle Denis im sorry if i closed the shop at 10.30pm some nights and took the odd ice cream as i wanted to go home but im sure you knew anyway. You were a great guy and i will forever have many memories. RIP and i look forward to seeing you again and having another laugh with you. my love to wilma, marae, paul and michael. love chris x

  20. Lets face it.!

    Who’s life didn’t Denis alter!.

His huge smile and his can do attitude. ( This may have ended up with a few broken ribs and some
holes in the ceilings). But what better way to cure that, than to come up with another project.
