  9. Connie, Fiona, deepest sympathy from Marg & I for the loss of Dennis. Working with Dennis was never dull and our time in the Design & Development Shop was one of some important jobs we undertook. As a trainee I went with Dennis to the GPO clock and was part of the unsuccessful effort to convert it to electronic operation. It fell to Dennis to go to the clock each New Years Eve to make it chime and the carallion play at 12 midnight.
    Love & best wishes,
    Ken & Margaret O’Connor

  12. Doris and I have known Denis and Connie as a couple since the late sixties and enjoyed their company at home visits, Phillip Island and Probus trips. One such trip we remember Denis and I sliding down the sand dunes on carpet mats whilst the girls drove down with the tour organizer, screaming their heads off. We had great times together Denis, rest in peace dear friend.
Great service, thank you for sharing.
    Godwin & Doris.

  13. Shedding a few tears whilst watching your beautiful farewell Denis. A kind and caring brother in law, fun to be with, a joker and prankster. You embraced your Maltese family and we loved having our first Aussie in the family. You will be missed but we will reflect on the wonderful memories we have of you with us. May you rest in eternal peace with Marty by your side and with all our family in heaven.
    Phyllis & Alwin ❤️

  14. As a 1958 intake trainee telecomms technician with Dennis, I was lucky to have known him all this time. Over later years we all seem to drift into new lives and friendship circles, but the older lives still stay in our memories. They are all good ones. A coincidence occurred many years later with my Son Dene in the same training group as Marty. Life is unpredictable !

  15. What a beautiful celebration of a lovely gentleman. Sorry we could not be with you in person, but know you are in our thoughts and prayers today and always.
    Love
Evelyn (Mum/Grandma)and Andrea, Scott and Family xxxx

Maybe we can catch up with you all one day

  18. Remembering the good times. Playing D24 at Rennie Street. Sunday afternoons at Hazel Grove. The picture shows at the annual Church fete. Rest in Peace cousin.

  19. A beautiful service and such kind words by all.

Uncle Dennis, thankyou for being apart of my life. The jokes, your amazing hair and kind soul will never be forgotten. Matt still continues to share your jokes, so I’m sure they will be around forever.
Thankyou for all the memories, especially the times down at Phillip Island. I still remember the time you called me KanTong haha

    It’s now time to rest.

    RIP

Love from Chantelle, Mason, Noah and my family.

  20. RIP Uncle Denis. You will be missed greatly. I will miss your stories and especially your jokes( the one that will always stick with me is the fax coming through joke ).

    RIP Uncle Denis
I’ll wear some old spice for you

  21. Uncle Denis was always a calm mellow man, he was a regular family member at gathering, had a quick joke to tell and a story to tell. He like having a project to do and worked hard to finish his goals.

He’ll be sadly missed and I hope he finds peace in the light.
