Constance Gunaretnam
I knew her as Devi Manoharan. I met her once when she visited Singapore and since then, especially during the past three years when she was in Sri Lanka, we have been in constant touch. It was during the phone chats that I got to know what a caring, affectionate and godly person she was. In the midst of her her constant struggle with arthritis, loneliness due to separation from loved ones and deep anxiety over the prevailing covid situation, she kept her faith in her Lord. Praise God for clearing the way for her to be able to make it to Melbourne
before all that chaos in Sri Lanka started. Yes, all in God’s good time for those who put their trust in Him.
We can say of Devi that she indeed “fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith”. We praise God for her life. What a beautiful farewell servuce her family had prepared for her!
May God’s comforting peace be with Sugi, Suren and all the family..

I knew Aunty for many years as we worshipped together at Methodist Memorial Church. She always had a pleasant smile and was an unassuming person.
Met her in 2019 during my visit to srilanka and she was overjoyed to see me.
