  1. Loving tributes for a very loved brother, father uncle and friend to all. Mum will miss her chats with big brother Doug. All our love to the family at this sad time. John and Colleen Hayman and family.

  2. To Tim, Julie and all of Doug’s family my sincerest sympathy to you all at this very sad time. Doug was a lovely kind and gentle man who I fondly remember as a Rotarian at the Rotary Club of Mordialloc where he served as a member for many years and where first I met him. He always greeted you with a smile and was please to see you. He was a generous man too who often donated one of this beautiful orchids as a prize on special occasions at our club.
You all have beautiful memories of Doug who lived life to the full, and up until recently was in good health. love to you all and Esme. A very lovely service to farewell a quiet achiever.
    Thinking of you, Kay Gordon

  3. Although my father only met Doug once during his lifetime, he made a remark many years later which I feel was a very accurate description “He is a good man”.Although this was a simple statement, in my fathers eyes this was acknowledgement of his respect for this man. He was right, Doug was a good man and his life should be celebrated.
My regret is that I could not see him before his passing. However I am glad that he was able to spend those last months with Spencer and his family.

  4. What a lovely service in honour of Doug. So many memories of an adored big brother (who could do no wrong) and uncle. Tim, Anthony, Spencer and Esme such lovely words from the heart.
Love from Pat Gilmour Gary Ray and families
