Susanna, David and granddaughters, sorry for your loss on Dulcie’s passing. Just wanted you to know how highly she was thought of as a founding member of Stonehouse. She was the true matriarch and when I joined, I was priveledged to spend rostered days with her. If any decisions had to be made we needed to run it past Dulcie first. Her tradition of making fruit cake for us all at Christmas time was also much appreciated.
She had so many stories to tell and I thought I knew your family without having met you. She was so proud and involved, always telling me of things the grandchildren were doing and what she was planning to do with and for them.
She also had so many interesting stories of Stonehouse’s early days and funny recollections of events. One we created together was on a New Year’s Day, in a quiet part of the afternoon when we both had a catnap at the front desk together. Luckily no customers came in. I’d been to a party the night before and, I guess maybe Dulcie had been whipping up another of her famous ‘quilt in a day’ creations overnight!
Such a talented, insightful, creative, caring and generous lady. She will be missed, but we have such lovely memories and she taught us all so much. RIP Dulcie
Many loving memories Sue and David and girls. A wonderful magical lady multi talented and wise My childhood memories will live on forever and have been passed on in essence to my gorgeous family. Love always Deb, Bronte, Lexie and Heidi. Sending hugs xxxx
Dear Suzanna, Memories of Heathside Court, North Ringwood, Dulcie would take me shopping as I had little children and no car, my other memory was leaving children having their afternoon
Sleep, we left the windows open so we could hear when they woke as Dulcie taught me pottery in her Studio, I still cherish the pot she helped me create, love to you, Marion Carden(Napier)
Alison and Nick Lendoudis were very moved by Dulcie’s funeral service. Susie and Lucy gave wonderful tributes to Dulcie’s best qualities and rich life. Dulcie certainly lives on in her daughter and granddaughters.
