Sad that we were in lockdown with only 10 people able to attend, yet the service was a fitting tribute to a beautiful soul, the mother of my darling departed Jane, and a lady of great charm and generosity.
Elaine was loved by all who shared her life, a lovely lady with a legion of friends. Mothers in law and sons in law are not supposed to get on, but Elaine was one in a million, and a dear friend.
Yes we have all gained so much for knowing beautiful Elaine. Although we all couldn’t be there to farewell Elaine and celebrate her life here, Elaine is forever in Eternity celebrating God’s Glory.

I am so sad that I shall not see you again in this life, but we shall meet again in the presence of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus. Aunty Elaine was a life long friend to our parents Murray and Betty Wood and was bridesmaid at their wedding in 1958 at St Mary’s church. She always had a smile and brought a lot of joy and fun to our gatherings.
My thoughts are with Elaine’s closest friends and family, she was incomparable. Her upbeat attitude and always friendly smile will be sorely missed.
