  49. The first time I met Eleanor many years ago, Kris brought her to a barbeque at my place. When I opened the door, Eleanor shook my hand as part of our formal greeting, then looked at her mum and exclaimed with great confidence and anticipation, “Right, let’s go!” She marched eagerly on past me to get the job done of meeting everyone else, and that day she brought life to the party.

As delightful as it is to remember that story, our favourite memory of Eleanor is of her helping Kris manage the musical sheets as they played together at our wedding. Thank you for bringing your unique creativity, your love of music, your warmth, and your infectious enthusiasm into our lives; we’ll always remember.

Our deepest compassion and commiserations are with the Johnsons and the Bakers. Our love is with you Kris.

    It was a lovely service.
