The church prays: “We praise thee, O Lord, that the compassionate wisdom which. guided thy daughter through the portal of birth has called her through death’s gateway to a fuller life with thee. Enlighten her, O heavenly father, with the knowledge of thy laws that, casting out all fear, she may grow in grace as she labours in thy holy service, through Christ our Lord. Amen”
Esther will be enormously missed by her church community as she will by many other people as well.
Thank you for the privilege of sharing Esthers last goodbye. I hope you are all travelling ok as she would certainly fervently hope this for you.

Sorry that I can’t be there with all of you. I struggle to put into words how much love, delight and warmth that Esther brought into my life. Whenever I speak to it, it never feels like I could speak enough to show people what she meant to everyone who loved her. Listening to you helped, even as I couldn’t stop crying. I’m so relieved I could see you give her a tribute. I’m also relived that my son Finn and Megan were able to see her before she died, and I will always remember how much love Esther had in her eyes for Finn, who sat quietly in her lap.
Esther was so formidably humble and unconcerned about herself, but I hope she knew how impacted and impressed people were around her. Her care and love of live was so unique and powerful, and people like her need to be recognised and celebrated. My heart goes out to all of you.
Dear Family, So much love to you all at Esther’s passing. We are sitting here, wishing we were with you. To us, Esther was still a presence, from when I was 19 in having lots of interesting conversations with her, to the days i gave birth to the boys with Aram…at Birthdays and Christmases and other events, still with a warm smile. She saw a lot…lived a long and rich life…we will miss her very much. Love Rena, Jade and Sonny
