Dear Vivien and family
Such a wonderful celebration of your father’s life, so well lived and greatly loved.
Sincere condolences to you all.

Dearest Viv,
What a wonderful service. You spoke absolutely beautifully and so did Sylvie and Sophie. And the photographs were fantastic.
Your Father was clearly an extraordinary man (his 35th Anniversary Poem is really something) and his love for your Mother, and all of you, was palpable even at the strange remove of video.
I felt it a great privilege to be there — and it did feel so much more like being there than I expected. I hope that being by the sea later today gives you great comfort. I’ll be thinking of you and keeping those images of him on the beach and the boat in my mind.
Much love to you all,
Dear Viv and family,
What a moving tribute to a clearly much-loved man. If one can judge a person by the impact they have on the lives of those around them, then your father was clearly a gentleman in the truest sense. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share in this important moment.
With all our best wishes,
Matthew and Don xx
To you all
What a wonderful tribute you were able to give such an amazing man. I was honoured to be able to watch such a beautiful service. Sending much love

Quite a surreal service watching on the computer. But it felt like being there.
Remarkable bloke, and great to hear he was a cat lover.
Best wishes and love at a sad time.
To Frank and Jean Paine’s family,
Frank and Jean were our mentors thru our days at BYS. Throughout the years of our friendship we enjoyed stories and performances of their theatrical days and their fanatical support of AFL Footscray. I think it was a tribute to Frank and Jean that the Bulldogs won last week!
“Lord Frank and Lady Jean” added a wonderful aspect to our lives.
Jill and Peter Lloyd
Vivien, thank you for sending on the link for the wonderful service in memory of Frank and Jean.
When you send on the video, may I send it on to a number of BYS people who were unable to watch?
