  2. Dear Anne, Robert, Lou, Beckie and Rob, and gorgeous families,
This wonderful tribute amplifies the feelings of how much you will all miss this wonderful humble Husband, Dad, Father-in-Law and Granddad. Our hearts go out to you, we absolutely loved Geoff he always made us feel so special. I have shed many tears as I always thought we would catch up again, but it never happened, maybe when we hopefully arrive in Heaven, he will certainly be there. We thank you for the opportunity in being able to watch this celebration of this Geoff’s Life, it was so very special.
Thank you Lou, Rob, your tributes were spot on and said it so well, but still there is so much more. Dad must have been so very proud of you both as you carried on his dream. We can see that APT will go on for generations to come, he has taught you so much, and I know you both and all the staff will pass on his enthusiasm. He shines out through both of you.
What beautiful grandchildren and they spoke so well, directly from the heart. Geoff stories about his outback bashes with his mates were always a winner on BC, we had many laughs. Judy, thank you for your wonderful speech, it showed how much he appreciated his staff and how much they loved him too, so many of them worked for him their whole working lives.
Working on the first Beyond Capricorn, Bruce as captain/engineer and I was the rest, was honestly a real privilege. They just don’t come any better then our beloved Geoff. Thank you again, Love you all, God Bless. Bruce and Linda. BC

  3. Sincerest condolences to the McGeary family on the passing of Geoff.

What an honour for many of us to work for a company built on the foundation of genuine service and unwavering family values—values that Geoff not only believed in but embodied every day.

To witness his vision grow from a humble domestic coach operation into a global force has been nothing short of extraordinary. His commitment to life-enriching experiences has touched so many lives. That sense of wonder, those “pinch yourself” moments on tour or cruise—these are more than just memories; they are Geoff’s legacy brought to life.

Thank you for the beautiful service and for including many of us from far and wide watching online,.

What a life to celebrate – thank you Geoff for all you have given to so many.

    Your vision continues on..

  4. Dear Anne, Rob, Lou & family; Sincere Condolences. Geoff was a true visionary and a kind, thoughtful person who clearly made a big impact on those around him. The way he made others feel respected and appreciated says so much about the kind of person he was. He’ll be deeply missed, and the mark he left on people’s lives will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Geoff; you’ll always be remembered with warmth and admiration.

  5. Sincere condolences Rob, your mum Anne, sister & families. I worked for APT for 17 years 1978-1995 & could not have asked for a better owner-boss/human being. As one of the secretaries to the Directors, working with Geoff recalls many memories of great times, lots of stories & fond memories of a kind gentleman. I have one of the nicest references from him, I will always treasure.
It was a beautiful service to watch on line.

  6. While I only knew Geoff in the later few years of his life, I count it a privilege to have spent time with him. Geoff made an indelible impression on me. He was a true gentleman with a genuine interest in others and his generous hospitality extended to me will never be forgotten. We had many marvellous times together on Beyond Capricorn as well as the boys camps we attended. Thank you Geoff. You are a legend who made a lasting impression on me.

I’m proud to be currently working in the business he so deeply cared about. An Australian owned and operated travel company heading towards 100 years old. Just teriffic!

  8. What a beautiful testimony to the life that Geoff lived. Geoff was an inspiration to everyone that he was around. It was so lovely to hear Lou’s words and the grand kids and Rob’s admiration of their father and grandfather. Also wonderful to hear from his friends and colleagues too.
I was so thrilled to be welcomed into the APT Sales team in 2015 after working in the travel industry my whole career. It felt like I became part of Geoff’s family. I was proud to work for Geoff who had built the most remarkable company through hard work and partnership. His story inspired me to believe that I could if I only tried and persisted with faith and effort. Thank you to Geoff for being a travel industry icon to look up to aspire to. I’m retired now but would love to read more about his life. Would love it if someone could let me know how I can get my hands on a copy of the book. Thank you for sharing this celebration of life with those of us who couldn’t be there. Blessings to all the family.

  13. Dear Anne, Rob, Lou and extended family.
Sorry I couldn’t make it in person. What a lovely service. Geoff would be so proud of you all.
I am so privileged to have been with APT throughout the early years and have so many fond memories of Geoff’s antics at conferences and in particular the Lucky 13.
To have an owner that didn’t take himself too seriously and could take a joke are few and far between.
I will be thinking of you all as you navigate your loss.
    With love.

  16. My deepest sympathy to Anne, Rob, Lou and all the McGeary & APT Family on the passing of Geoff. Having known him for 60 years it has been wonderful to see Geoff’s journey and the impact it has made on the travel industry worldwide. What a privilege it has been to have been a small but proud part in the Australian Pacific/AATKings/Evergreen Tours journey.
Rest in Peace Geoff and Thank You for all you have done. Your legacy lives on.

  17. Dear Anne,
Helena and I send our condolence to you and to Geoff’s family.

We met you and Geoff on the ORION sailing from Darwin to Rabaul then on to Cairns. Geoff on one occasion spoke of his early life … how his father ran a small bus business in a country town, taking kids to and from school. Geoff said he was shy, but when he started driving the bus, he was very happy to talk over the loud-speaker to the passengers. He saw an opportunity to use the bus between the times it was needed for school work, to drive pensioners to neighbouring towns. Geoff continued to use his imagination to expand the small country bus service into the successful international travel enterprise that it is today.
