  1. Some 31 years ago Graeme visited us with application forms to join the Heatherdale Recreation and Bowls Club. Thanks to Graeme we joined and an everlasting friendship followed.
We have the fondest memories of Bowls Club events and Probus Club outings and we will never forget the most enjoyable Dinner parties we had. Rest in peace Graeme.

Our deepest sympathies to Margaret and family

  5. What a beautiful service …uncle graham and my dad les, were so similar..apart from looking like each other, they both had the ability to put words onto paper and create every lasting memories. Big hugs to all the family during these challenging times, and especially Aunty Marg.
    Love heather and Geoff …

  6. As I sit here with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat, it’s difficult to not remember the great times with Graeme. From playing kick to kick or cricket in Halls Parade, catching him having a sneaky cigarette out of Margaret’s sight, the skilful assertive navigation out of VFL park after a Collingwood v Carlton game, to arranging my first job at AMP.
    Honoured to have known you.
    RIP Graeme

    1. Thank you for the nice words Ed.
Dad enjoyed having you boys come over. I think he would have been very happy with his send off in the circumstances

  7. I think Graeme would have enjoyed the service and would be very proud of Marg, his children and respective families. Well done Dave, Donna and Jacob for reading and sharing their relationship and stories of Graeme. Gosh hasn’t Hudson grown! The selection of music and photographs were super. I loved that I could press pause to enjoy the photographs and backtrack if I missed some of the details. It was lovely to hear Graeme’s memoirs, he wrote beautifully.
Love from Angela, Peter, (Jack and Sasha) Edwards.

  9. I first met Graeme Bland not long after I joined Heatherdale Recreation and Bowls Club in late 2004. Graeme was very friendly and easy to talk to. He was always willing to offer advice or help sort oout any problems I was having as a new bowler. Graeme always enjoyed having a chat over a drink after the game. Graeme will be sadly missed by all members at Heatherdale Bowls Club. Deepest sympathies to Margaret and all Graeme’s family

  12. Happy memories we have of Graeme:
    – When we kicked the footy in the street, Graeme would always come out to say hi and then try and recruit us for the Carlton FC!
    – At Ross’ 40th Birthday Street Lunch, we asked Graeme what he would like to drink and his response was “I drink anything” then he proceeded to share a bottle of scotch with Ross’ brother for the afternoon and only stopped when Marg decided it was time to go home…
    – Watching Graeme and Marg walking around the block everyday with a smile and was always up for a chat
    – Graeme raising the Flag on the pole everyday
    – Graeme being the first to the Lemon Stall every year

Condolences to the family. Love Gen, Ross, James, Sam and Ivy 2/37 Halls Pde
